    SE Please remove all specialist locked recipies

    Please remove all specialist locked recipes.

    The lockout is unhealthy (creates micro monopolies), limits the amount of time and things crafters can do without creating an alternate account (which is INSANE), its fundamentally not fun given a game design which lets us flip combat classes how ever we like but then were auto locked in our crafting (that makes no sense at all), it literally punishes those of us who geared all of our crafters up, only to have five of them locked out from doing anything useful.

    You are pushing a game design on your players which is just upsetting. The design is crappy, and its a slap in the face. My FC went from having dozens of people out crafting every day to literally NO one but me during the red script mess. Now people are trickling back, but I don't have anything promising to tell any of them because you guys keep mucking up decisions and leaving us out to dry.

    I've had to create a freaking spreadsheet to keep track of our specialist and try to push people into (quite frankly, piss poor specialties) so that we actually have coverage. Because you haven't made the system ANY easier for new players to break into. You've just taken the dedicated crafters and people who enjoyed the free open crafting system in 2.x and fragmented them.

    You guys need to SERIOUSLY rethink the crafting system and ask whats fun. Because you're missing the mark by a freaking mile. You're just taking what used to be a complicated working system, and making it into a disparate mess, with complicated parts that aren't used. Recipes which fall into immediate uselessness. And make an all ready difficult system even less accessible.

    What bothers me most is that materials required for something are specialist only recipeds of another class. If this weren't the case I would not any problems with the system.

    Fully agree with you. I had three char so that I could cover all 8 specialist but logging in and out got old to craft something. Now I just play on one char as I got tried of keeping three chars up to date just to craft which is my end game. Some players end game is raiding. Mine is crafting. In my FC we lost another person today that told me they were leaving the game cause they could not craft as the wanted because of specialist. Not the first to leave and I doubt the last to leave.

    I saw this for my leatherworking, which apparently is going to require alchemy again... so apparently I need to drop goldsmithing. But then I saw parts are requiring the core blacksmiths too. /sigh such BS

    Totally agree with the OP,an it seems like they will unlock specialist after each big patch, just look at the relic items, after ppl expend so much gil they unlock it at the end..they talking the fun out of crafting..an I really wanted to try crafted gear this patch...very bad move again SE..

    I totally disagree with the idea of removing it. I think the market seems pretty fair this way.

    Camphor from ALC is not a specialist recipe so you just need the book to make the LTW stuff. Also, invest in soul stones and this whole thing becomes less of a problem. What else are you going to do with your red scrips?

    I been a omnicrafter since Realm Reborn, i love crafting armor and accessories to my fellow free company members but now to do certain armor pieces or house furnishing i will have to rely on Adamantoise server Specialist. The red scrips ruined the game for me personally. I still don't understand the red scrips gathering materials to make adamantite ingots or griffin leather. This patch 3.2 inspired me again to craft again but i have no clue how to start some of my classes i have my 180 so far i am a Armorer, Weaver specialist. I find it ridiculous that Blacksmith has 1 Specialist recipe so i can make a plate for Armorer, No new weapons for Blacksmith. It's a slap to the face of crafters. Also why the red scrips cap weekly so low? it cost 480 scrips to change specialist but you can only get 450 per week. I think they should remove or at least increase weekly cap to 1200 red scrips & decrease the amount of 80 red scrips to change specialist.

    Agreed. Totally annoying systems that drops the fair dispute in the market with all crafters competing on equal foot in favor of making it easy, in a spoiled way, to sell your goods on MB by brushing off crafters that have chosen other Specialist classes.

    People might argue that this happens the other way around too but it benefits only those people choosing to gear specific crafting classes only instead of all 8 classes. In turn this makes worthless all the effort people that geared all their 8 classes with i170 crafted gear put on it.
