About the tank gear shown in trailer for 3.2

It looks like it will be a copy of the monk gear, which is already something I do not approve of, and if that wasn't enough, the fact we already have behemoth gear from pvp, which looks very similar only makes it worse.

Not only will this make PVP less of an incentive, it makes the new tank gear much less appealing, not to mention it would not make sense to have a tank wearing the exact same gear as a dps, which I thought was the excuse for not letting us cross-class glamour items in the first place.

Could somebody please shed some light on the reasoning for this choice?
Or have I misunderstood something?

edit: We get Ifrit & Garuda, but no Titan?

I agree. Not using all the 2.0 primals is dumb. But why on earth are tanks and monks sharing gear. I understand casters and healers / DEX users (even though I hate it and consider it lazy) but why not pair monks and dragoons. Atleast then they can say, "STR gear is shared" (lol STR tanks)

You can see by the trailer that the Tank version has alot more cloth hanging down, just like how the Void Ark gear does, even tho it shares the same basic with a DPS set.



So it would not be the first time Tanks share the same with a DPS.
And I dunno, perhaps a Titan armor would just look, boring? A big rock armor basicly. Nothing I really would run around in.

Putting monks in a set which resembles that of the tank classes is a strange move.

It's also a little depressing that I play all five 'caster' classes and get a single model to look at with this set; it feels even worse now they have another class (AST) in the mix yet we're still all sharing a single look while they go out of their way to specifically make a different set just for one class (DRG). How does that even make sense? And the caster colour swap doesn't even resemble Shiva any more :S

I'm not terrifically excited about this gear, visually.

I'm not too happy they didn't make Titan for tank classes either I just don't get it Dragoons get their own set but tanks/healers/monks+tanks share their own sets? It's very weird design and not very thought out at all. They should have just copied from WoW tbh the T11-T12 heroic gear it would be a good base for Titan.

I do not think that is the Lore set that is the dungeon set though. Whatever primal they give tanks has not been shown anywhere so far.
