Hunts are hands down the single fastest path to relic advancement. Other than that, most of what I've been doing is roulettes, beast tribe dailies, and EX primal/Coil carries for tomes. I've done a bit of Alex here and there, but not a flat-out grind.

I do all my roulettes daily (other than pvp), two beast tribes given they are the only ones i have leveled, S Hunts mostly in addition to some A's from time to time. I've also done quite a few ex primal and coil carries whenever I have the opportunity.

I do daily roulette about three times a week + a handful of Alex. No time for something like hunts, carries, or even more dailies (when I most of the time don't even manage to finish half of my daily roulette!).
Just to do the things you listed everyday, one would have to be online several (as in 2 or more) hours a day. Many people can only play during the weekend. Others like me log in everyday, but as soon as they sign up for some duty, real life calls again already.

Just accept that some people will regard you as a no-lifer!
Simply because even finishing ONE relic takes more time, no matter how well you "manage" it, than many of us can or want to put into a game.

Calling someone who can spend 2 hours each day in game a no-lifer doesn't make sense. Yeah some people can only log in on the weekend and maybe for a few hours, but to think people that actually put aside at least 1-2 hours each day to do content in game a no-lifer just makes me think you don't know what the word means.

I don't know, I've been doing daily roulettes (50s and main for the poe + expert) and BTs (Sylph, Kobold and Amaljaa) pretty much every day and I still don't have enough for one relic. So you must be doing a LOT of hunts.

I managed to finish my relic doing nothing but beast tribes and roulettes. Currently working on my second in a much more casual manner since I really don't need it right now, and the time cost of the anima will likely be reduced in future patches.

@ Nekotee, blm is the first Relic i am working on and i agree no ss is rather a wth moment but once they release gear that we can add materia to (non crafted gear) then the weapon will be of better use.

That's not a bad point...
I might choose to do the Blm staff (which is kind of pretty) after all...
Plus 3.2 will see a lot of new stuff + crafted one... So the spellspeed problem might be solved

I reach around 700 spellspeed and Fire I is still 2.36 cast...
I miss my 2.25 from ARR !

Still 60/80 for my deneb...
A little more and I could start my third for the Blm !

I'm on 20, I don't even say to myself "I'm grinding for relic." I just say....oh I have enough tomes for an item now. So I'll get it when I get it...even though I'm not sure I want Deneb anymore...

Posted that on the 13th...today is the 10th and I'm only on 31.

Glad i have been saving up ss materia.

And to the topic of Relic i have basically just been doing Roulettes, dungeons and ALL the Beast Tribes every day. Most Relics are not very good at the moment so there is no real rush

I just finally hit double digits on the unidentifiable mats last week. I've spent more time grinding Thordan weapons, leveling WAR and managing my FC than doing the relic, since the MCH one isn't so useful for me yet. I started the DRK one as well, but I'm unmotivated to fate farm for crystals again so soon.

I can't promise I'll stick this one out. I noped out of the Zeta pretty early and was just fine. I don't feel too much of an imperative to push for this relic either.
