Repair items?

How/where do we get crafting classes? Must we complete a quest If so, will someone reply with the coords for my class?

You need to visit the various guilds for the crafting classes - and to actually be able to take on other classes you need to complete your starting class lvl10 quest - then it will allow you to take on other classes:
leatherworker - Gridania
carpenter - Gridania
goldsmith - Uldah
alchemist - Uldah
Weaver - Uldah
blacksmith - Limsa
armorer - Limsa
culinarian - Limsa

Also you need to have a specific level in each to be able to self repair.
