I think Cloud said something more like, "Why are they calling Nanaki Nanaki?"
Still, Barret's lines amuse me the most.
"Haeey!! Baaeby!!"
"Cetra? That some kinda disease?"
"You spiky haired jerk!"

And how could we forget, "I wanna be a blitzball when I grow up."
Playing FFXIV for a few days then attempting to play FFXII.
The drastic decrease in resolution gives me a headache XD
Really? someone actually posted this? I hope this is a troll bait post to round them all up throw them into ifrits pit. Why would you start a post asking for negativity spanning over a companies history of games?
Just....sad.
Whilst it is true that it's asking for negativity it also helps Square to see what parts of the game and games before it people dislike, so that changes to FFXIV and future FF games can avoid those problems.
Forms of torture? Yes, crafting. I saw this thread title and crafting was the first thing that popped into my mind.
They could make a new Saw movie, and FFXIV's crafting could be one of Jigsaw's sick little games.
Just imagine it, a scene where some guy wakes up, tied in a chair, with a TV in front of him and a controller in his lap. He looks around the room, confused... Suddenly, Jigsaw appears on the TV and says "Lets play a game.... Rank up the Weaver class to level 40 in FFXIV by making Hempen Doublets...." Jigsaw laughs and the screen changes to FFXIV. Later on in the movie, the scene changes back to the guy who had to rank up Weaver and he has gouged his eyes out and strangled himself with the controller.
That is my take on FFXIV crafting.
It'd be worse to make him rank up Armoursmithing, that was a total nightmare just to get to rank 20 and it ate all my shardsForms of torture? Yes, crafting. I saw this thread title and crafting was the first thing that popped into my mind.

Bad translations are my favourite part... Launch all zig anyone?
The most annoying part for me has to be the lack of transportation options in FFXIV (other than teleporting) but that will no longer be the case soon.
I disagree. This can be a very constructive thread if you ignore the idiots who respond with stuff like "FFXIVlol /10char".
Torturous gameplay to me mostly boils down to inconsistent framerate. This is one of the main reasons I can't stand playing a lot of games on the 360 (FFXI is the worst offender here). PS3 is guilty of this to a lesser extent, but the main thing is developers believing the consoles are as powerful as Sony and Microsoft claim they are. I think SE has learned this the hard way with XI and XIV.
EDIT: And as far as the framerate in XIV is concerned, I plunked down some serious coin for my PC, so I don't have an issue with it. Your mileage may vary.
