Oh how about that, it does. My bad!
Though it's "dungeon raids or trials". Because of a lack of commas used, I don't know if it's dungeons, raids, or trails; or dungeon raids, or trails. Though I'd assume the former.

no you need only 30 seconds for ifrit story mode, that's 2 per minute and 120 per hour. so for 1000 times ifrit story mode unsynced you only need 8 hours and 20 minutes. it's crazy, yes, but you can achieve that in one day even with some breaks.
and people have done such crazy things before xD
the 250 hours was the time you need if you do it regulary with 15 mins average per instance. i don't think 15 mins are realistic, even if you count in some primal fights. i would use 20 mins for average. but whatever, you will need AT LEAST 250 hours if you do it the regulary way. i am not that good in math but i think doing it with ifrit story mode is more than 2700% faster >.>
i already have 3700 instances finished, i just wanted to point out that there is another oversight / way to cheat the system like you can lvl arcanist for getting a DPS and healer role at the same time.

I assumed it was the former too, because the wording on most achievements is kinda wonky, honestly lol

Sorry, I'm just a little salty. I just wish people could play the game as intended to learn and become experienced enough to warrant being a mentor, and not do something as... pointless, as to grind Ifrit story mode.

and that's why i was pointing on this system flaw so square can fix it before they implement the mentor system. they simply have to deactivate the "how many instances have you done" counter when you go unsynced.

Not necessarily. We've yet to see if there's any kind of test a mentor-to-be needs to overcome after completing the known reqs, assuming there will be any. I personally hope there will be some kind of challenge to it other than what we already know. Something that would root out the bad players from the good. But ah well, we will see.
Ultimately in the end we know were going to end up with the same issue as DF. Some good mentors who know what they are talking about and those who just worked the system to get in and offer bad advice, the fact they seem to be offering rewards (or so I recall) doesn't help the situation. I'd do it just to help

Maybe it should also have a training dummy req.? Be able to beat a certain version of it before being able to mentor. L60 content should have this also.
