Any good scholar guides out there?

Can't really find one that's up to date. And I've been hearing all kinds of different opinions on macros, like one that has your fairy (embrace?) The target youcuse physick on, I just kinda wanna get some tips from people who really know what they're doing

How To Train Your Faerie: A Comprehensive Guide

I don't recommend macroing Embrace to Physick or other heals, because of Embrace's different cast/re-cast time, and the fact macros cannot be queued so you'll be losing efficiency and more importantly flexibility.

I have never really had that problem on my Scholar, Technole. Of course you have to know how to macro your Embrace's properly, or else the entire thing kind of falls apart. Here is a sample of the macro that I use for my Scholar:

    /micon "Physick"
    /pac "Embrace" <mo>
    /pac "Embrace" <t>
    /pac "Embrace" <tt>
    /pac "Embrace" <me>
    /ac "Physick" <t>
    /ac "Physick" <tt>
    /ac "Physick" <me>

The reason I put the Embrace commands BEFORE the Physick (or other healing spell) commands is because if it is put AFTER the healing spell, then the Embrace will automatically target the player if you aren't hard-targeting each person you are trying to cure, which is ridiculously annoying on a controller. With the above set-up you can cycle through your parties members faster and cure just that little bit faster.

Of course I also have all of my faeries off global cooldown abilities linked to my two AoE heals, and leave my faeries on obey for the most part, as that makes healing just that much easier in my opinion. I find having them on anything other than Obey, unless it is a really low level dungeon, tends to cause me more headaches than it solves.

I would advise not macroing any of your fairy skills to any of your skills. You will be a far better scholar learning to pop the fairy skills yourself when they are needed.

I agree with this except Rouse/Whispering Dawn since they have the same CD. I also prefer not to macro fairy heals to my main heals, mostly because it decreases the flexibility to heal multiple targets. If a DPS gets caught in an AoE the fairy can usually handle it while I focus on MT or doing damage. You can keep Selene on sic most of the time because you'd want her speed buff on cooldown anyway, but Eos should always be on obey.

That won't solve the chaining spells problem.
It's easier to just bind embrace to a key and press it manually, so you can chain heals if needed. If you need to use three physicks, even on different people, there's a difference between a macroed heal and an unmacroed one.
Unmacroed heals are faster, plus the fiary will use embrace anyway, so it may and may not be in use/cast anyway on someone else, and in that case you just delayed a physicks for nothing.
As far as efficiency goes, macros can't be added in the equation, except Rouse+WD, since it's
    1. Two Cooldowns
    2. You'd use them together anyway, given same recast and being the only Eos' skill you could buff.

    Yes, don't macro. Never macro.
Some people say they're fine with it, but it doesn't change the fact that macroed skills are slower and can't be queued.
    Except Rouse+WD.

The main reason I macro is because I am on a PS4 and use a controller instead of a keyboard and a mouse.

There are several reasons I use a controller instead of a keyboard and a mouse.

    1. I play the game while sitting on a bean bag chair in front of a TV. Thus using a keyboard and mouse is rather uncomfortable.
    2. I personally find the controller to be more intuitive to my personal playstyle.
    3. I personally don't like the idea of playing console games with a keyboard and mouse.
    4. I don't personally like the keyboard and mouse set up on this game, and find the controller set up to be easier to understand.

As such, the macros save me a crap ton of space, even if they aren't necessarily the most optimal option. The reason for this is because I only really have 32 hotbar slots that I can actively utilize with any efficiency while in combat on the controller, so I have to cut corners somewhere.

I play on controller as well. With using the extended hotbars? (think thats what its called) I have zero problems fitting my spells onto 2 hotbars and then two extended hotbars.

Not saying everyone will be like me but it may be something people having trouble fitting their skills on with a controller could look into.

Controller player here, too. Main reason would be because I suck at using kb+mouse.
Just try making two identical crossbars for Eos and Selene, with the fairy skills in the same place, plus a common one for the other stuff, and stack Protect, Surecast, and the summons on a fourth bar since it's not something you need at hand.
    Solved the problem for me.

I gave up on expecting tank/healer balance after SB.
