Should arcanist 60 count as 60 DPS and 60 healer mentor requirement?

I mean it goes both ways, for people who qualify as SMN and SCH and have a good understanding as both it would be bad if it wouldn't count. But people who just level ARC to 60 to get the requirement done to become a mentor and brag about it and don't have a good understanding and experience as either Healer or DPS and not qualify as a mentor it kind defeats the purpose of these requirement if you can just skip one role.
So what would be best to do?

u need to have unlocked both smn and sch ... i know some that have SMN at 60 but have yet to even unlock SCH :P , anyway i have my ARN to 60 but i only play it as SCH.

u know that there are lvl 60 "job" that has 0 clue about how this job plays on party setting ? , lots of ppl can level a job to 60 doing nothing but fates....so why u focus the issue on ARN? :S

there will be "GOOD" and "BAD" mentors , nothing SE can do to stop that.

I don't focus an issue on ARC, I just asked if its good or not, because ARC is the only class that branches in 2 jobs and basically gives you a free level 60 job when you get the other to 60. No need to feel offended.
See its not a big deal to unlock SCH or SMN job crystal , the quests are easy enough. The thing is as you said there will be good and bad mentors, along with 3 roles at 60, 300 commends and 1000 dungeons will it do good to include ARC as 2 jobs or will it do bad to the mentor system

Well, there's not really any way around it. The game has no way of determining what someone's main is. If you are required to have done the job quests all the way through to 60, you need at least a basic understanding of both classes.

Also, it's ACN. ARC is archer...

Ok thx ACN then. In the live letter they said you will need 1 Job from each role so you definitly need at least the job crystal. Propably not requiered to get all job quests up to 60 you propably even dont need all the skills ect ect. We will see how this mentor system turns out, if it will be good or just a waste of development time.

you can also workaround the 1000 instance requirement by doing the low lvl ifrit story fight unsynced o.o/ okay, still a huge grind, but way faster than actually doing 1000 instances the way you are supposed to use xD

One of the requirements is "At least one Lv60 Job in each role", and we also know they'll be measuring that off Achievements.

One would assume that means you'll need the Achievement for completing the Lv60 Job quest, rather than the Lv60 Class Achievement. Arcanist is a DPS though, so if they go that way, it'll count as a DPS.

Honestly, the Job quest Achievements are probably the best measure of someone "playing" that Job. Sure, they're not difficult, but nor is getting Lv60. The quest Achievement at least implies you've got all the Jobs skills unlocked and have played it in a scenario that didn't involve spamming AoE in FATEs...

1000 instances is really not that big a deal, I have well over 2k just from having actually playing the game and leveling my classes ^^ it looks like a big number is all

If the notice says that you need lvl 60 job, isn't that already answering the OP? They will need to achieve lvl60 SMN and lvl60 sch to get the achievement and teach those two jobs.

The job quests are not hard at all and dont teach you how to play a SCH/Healer or SMN/DPS.
