What the hell man lol decided I'll be mting this from then on.

I never understood where this "pld = mt" thing comes from. Sword oath is something like 40% more damage than shield oath. Easily beats the difference between defiance and deliverance. PLD is the go-to OT, DRK is the go-to MT, and WAR is your switch-hitter. I don't know baseball so I don't know if that's an appropriate analogy.

I had a funny moment in a dungeon, sort of. I don't remember the name of the dungeon off the top of my head but it was like...the fourth dungeon you unlock or something? We get a few rooms in, our tank disconnects so we wait a bit to see if someone else joins - no one does, so one of the DPS get a tank from their FC. Fine and dandy, although they seemed a bit squishy - but I didn't mind reviving them at least. In the beginning, I told them repeatedly this was my first time doing the dungeon and I was watching the cutscenes.

We get to the final boss and the DPS runs ahead while I'm watching a cutscene and I see words cross my screen "so-so closes in 15 seconds." I try to get in a rush to close the cutscene, but I didn't get in in time and got locked out. Everyone ended up dying and I ended up laughing, the DPS was used to running ahead instead of waiting. Nothing against the DPS, but I just found it funny that they locked the healer out.

The second time we all get in and managed defeat it, although I died at the end and had to get back to the start - but it was all in good fun.

I've seen a lot of Void Ark horror stories, but never really had that bad of one until today.

I think I counted some 8 or so DPS try to pull the "Oh, I didn't get to the gate in time and got locked out of the boss fight"
Real funny thing was that they called each other out on it. Ironic how the people who try to AFK through a 24-man call out other people trying to do the same thing.

Warrior is new. I'm telling him to use storms eye instead of spamming overpower (he is OT)
After we wipe to adds, a monk says that only warriors and ninjas do slashing damage.
I'm like LOL, stop spreading misinformation.
He insisted I'm wrong so I proceed to alt tab and google to prove this guy wrong.
Now I'm actually amazed at how hard it is to find who does slashing damage online (or my search terms were really bad)
Eventually 5 mins later I find a reddit post saying what damage types all classes do. Copy paste and link it into chat.
In the meantime party has pulled when i was alt tabbed. When I came back previous monk called me useless.

Seeing that he got proved wrong, he proceeds to call me useless (cos i alt tabbed to find the information) and says he will be reporting me for afking for 5 mins (lol)
I feel like stopping misinformation > my dps

Worst thing was the other people just said 'I dont care about storms eye, lets just finish this'.
and this is why we have so many bad wars out there

Recently I returned to the game after an extended break, along with my sister. Because of previous FC drama where everyone was basically rushed into skipping all cutscenes through Heavensward, we decided to make new characters. I decided I would go WHM because I anticipated that both of us as DPS would have those dreaded 40+ minute DF queue times. My sister plays her fave class, BRD.

We decided last night that we would queue some Neverreap + Fractual to cap Est tomes because we only needed around 60 each. Fractual pops and we enter; party is made up of WHM, BRD, DRG and DRK. I noticed straight off that DRK had less than 13k HP and proceeded to pull the whole damn map despite two hits from the trash mobs putting him/her in critical HP territory with him/her using CD at the worst times. I had to spam Cure II like it was going out of fashion, I was always at around 20% mp but my sister is my trusty BRD and gives me ballad to help us through. First boss goes rather well, until last 5% where tank is KO'd as we dodge those AOE's and OFC DRG + BRD kill boss before I can get a Raise off so tank respawns. Not a problem, better for tank to respawn than have weakness for 1min when s/he's already squishy....

We then wipe on way to second boss due to tank 'having a drink' right at the point when the trash mob that spawns the Chimera pops. We get to second boss and there is a 30 sec wait, so I quickly check DRK's gear.... ilvl185 Sky Pirate body, some green body dungeon drops varying lvl 139-145, ilvl133 belt, 1 mnd accessory, 1 int accessory, 2 slaying accessories... I guess that explains the low HP? I figured s/he may also be a 'new' player and is capping tomes so figure I will just Cure II spam for this run... what's the worst that can happen? We proceed to beat second boss, though both DRG and DRK get hit by every swing attack... luckily there were no KO's. We get through to final phase and both DRK and DRG get caught in those bind circle monsters on way to boss; because they are both bound they can't use any abilities so of course trash mobs aggro onto me when trying to keep tank up.... BRD tries to aoe them all down but we wipe..... managed to get through on 2nd attempt and jumped across to final boss.........

Final boss takes 2 attempts to clear. First attempt is an ultimate derpfest - DRG is doing minimum dps and bad rotation, he also ignores all adds and we take the aoe damage, get knockedback and hit those dreaded squares with the mines and all get paralysed. It was hell trying to esuna & keep tank alive so sadly tank goes down first.... my sister and I had already guessed this would happen before the fight started because it was a nightmare trying to keep him/her up anyway. I raise tank but while doing so DRG proceeds to get KO from hitting another mine.... we end up wiping.

We made our way to final boss again and DRK decided he would try to go in on me. He asked if I was tired or was struggling to cope with the power of their overall ilvl185. As I said before he only had ilvl185 body, the rest was a mish-mash of stuff which probably put him at ilvl 150ish to meet dungeon cap. DRG pipes up that he is also ilvl185.... checked him quickly and he is also wearing an int accessory, a dex accessory and a FENDING ring.... I mean wtf? ....We proceed and clear but I have honestly never had to spam Cure II so much in my life. No comm was given, and I ALWAYS Comm for a tank who knows his job and doesn't get critical HP off trash mobs.

Me & BRD leave dungeon and queue for Neverreap.... it pops and would you believe it? Same damn tank in that run... DF be trolling lol. DRK starts mouthing off about terrible 'noob' BRD and healer who can't heal, and he tried to get other dps to vote kick us both. In the end DRK got votekicked for harassment... new DRK tank jumps in and we have a super easy and smooth run.

The Gladiator at level 45 in Dzemael Darkhold that refused to get a soul stone because 'it isn't necessary' was my favorite. He was booted after the first pull.
Every AST ever that doesn't have protect cross-classed and/or set in the first slot.
The 'should be more rare than they are' tank that only auto-attacks.
The DRKs that say they have never been in (not tanked, but stepped foot in) a pre-50 dungeon. This happens quite often these days.

I'm sure I have more that are suppressed...

My bet though, both the healers were new and in cutscene, they probably had a couple of WAR fate tanks with all STR who didn't use CD and pulled the entire section. Some dps straggled for lights, or picked up aggro on a mob and stopped following. Everyone knows that will kill a fate tank.

My party wiped yesterday since me and the other healer couldn't keep up with the tank's aggro pulling chain..they ran too fast.
