A few days ago I was in an ifrit hm run for my bard alt and used lb3 after hell fire. I figured why not because ifrit hm. The ninja decides to call me out as a horrible player because I, a filthy ranged, used lb3 on the boss.

He continues to spew venom with 3 people defending me until the end of the fight only to find out that he was rocking FULL fending accessories as a ninja. Bear in mind this was a I209 player so he was well into the game. :/

I want to post a good expert roulette run I had...Saturday morning I think it was. I queued as Bard like normal, we had Pld, whm, and I think drg. I was expecting a slow run...and I couldn't been more wrong. We were in St. Mocainnes (sp?) And we flew through it!
Everyone was on point. We downed first boss before 3rd rotation, no one died on 2nd wall, we cleared 2nd boss before the 2nd Ally, and on Final boss we cleared it just after the plant adds. It was a fantastic run that took only about 20 minutes and was probably the fastest and smoothest pug I have ever had, and if those guys read the forums, they are awesome!

It seems to be becoming the "norm" though... Just had a run in snowcloak for the roulette. Tank was wearing Intel accessories, machinist was wearing crafter belt, and STR / Vita accessories. When you ask them why, the answer comes easy : "for the sake of ilvl". And it's the same story almost everyday. Just so sick of that, really.

Took a two month break, finally came back today and decided to do a low level roulette run. Got Darkhold Dzemael, which I was happy with.

Until I noticed our tank.

Had a PLD doing that with Mind Acc and all NQ 145 left side yesterday in fractal.

The MNK new how to scale back their attacks, but the low quality BLM was tthe type to judge how well they played based off how many times they took hate. Straight boss dps, ignoring adds type. Was rough to heal even at i205.

Kind of a funnier story:

Last night was leveling THM, got into haukke Manor for my last dungeon of the night. Right before the 2nd boss, I saw like 8 cop cars, an ambulance, and a fire truck show up in the parking lot of the apartment complex that is on the other side of the fence from my building.

Like the curious neighbor I am, I absentmindedly left my computer to watch the show with my boyfriend. Everyone's just standing around for a while so I go back to my desk, and have an OH SHIT moment realizing I was still in a dungeon.

I apologized and explained my situation, it was all cool, and I fully intended to continue the dungeon. However, my boyfriend suddenly exclaimed "there's a guy on the ground!" And so I just decided to leave. Interesting end to my night. I'm sure the group found another dps right away (hopefully ).

I ran into a DRK tank yesterday in AK HM who had i55 sword, a few WoD pieces, a few Dusk Vigil pieces, and an i28 choker. I asked what was up with that "I just got to this level" (He had several 60s including PLD).

The run was slow and I did an AOE LB on the dps check room so we didn't wipe. The WHM was new to the dungeon I think, possibly, and never really DPS'd.

I've just had a Warrior who critized me to the hilt purely because I was playing an Astrologian and according to his friend he 'dislikes Astrologians', the most childish thing I've ever heard. Things got even worse when he and the DPS failed to break me out of a snare and caused a wipe.

I have over 850 commendations and healed the dungeon perfectly. This guy had the most disgusting attitude I have ever seen in the game and I never rant about this kind of stuff. Thankfully 99.9% of people I meet in the game are nice, polite and friendly, unfortunately people like this guy exist and have to ruin the game for others.

Gotta say, getting real tired of the crap I've been getting for playing PLD lately

Over the last week, I've had DPS drop out of EX Roulette before (or just as) the gate drops some 12 times. Of the few times they've actually bothered to say something, one was "Oh sh** a PLD? no thanks, I don't feel like a 40 minute run."

So first, I've hardly ever had a run go above 20 minutes on my PLD, and that variance tells me it's more often the DPS' skill/composition that makes that difference.

Second, It's roulette people. You don't want to take the risk of getting undergeared/unskilled people? Run a premade.

Third, you'd rather eat a 30 minute penalty than maybe getting a slightly longer dungeon run?

Has the relic grind really given people this "need for speed?" I've only really noticed this behavior since 3.15...

Pfft, as a WHM I don't even notice that much of a difference between the tanks as long as they know how to damage mitigate properly so that I can reasonably go into DPS mode. I find that Paladins are the most likely to buy me time to join in the offense myself, while Warriors tend to have their HP yo-yo like crazy.

The way I play though, if a run takes longer than 25 minutes, it's very clearly not the fault of the tank, but the DPS not playing as well as they should be. I've had runs with DPS in ilvl 180 gear go faster than DPS in ilvl 205.
