Does anyone else get bummed out at night?

My only issue with nighttime is when I want to take a screenshot.

I like that there are various weather bits, but that said I feel like it's nighttime too much. It feels that for every hour of daylight we have, there are 6 hours of night. I first noticed this when I woke up at like 3-am for Early Access of Heavensward, and played for 20 hours straight. I went through all these beautiful new zones in the dark, it really sucked.

I enjoy the night sky a lot more than that pesky sun.
The moon phases and the stars and constellations are much nicer to look at.

Yes I feel like almost ALL my time playing is night. The day passes so quickly then its night and that drags on and on. I wish they'd shorten the night or make the days longer. It's really annoying.

Check your settings. I was the same way. Are you on PC? If so, check your gamma output on both your monitor and your game's settings. It was like that for me on FFXIV and even FFXI. If you are on PS4 (I don't have one yet, so I'm not sure of the settings), check your PS4's settings for output for your TV. Also check your TV's settings for gamma as well as brightness.

I keep my brightness waaaaaaaaaaay to low cause i want night to be dark like it is irl

I actually love fighting as a mage at night. Maybe I just like bright lights or something..or maybe it's because I just generally love the night.

Night and day are both like.. thirty-six minutes I think? Something like that. My fav time is twilight/dusk...that time right before and right after the sun sets. Just like IRL.

Only time I don't like night is when I want a shot of my character...then I just pull out my Sun or go inside or something.

This is just my observation, but I think the idea that night is longer than day within the game is because different times of the day have a differing amount of illumination while night time's lighting is consistently the same. Since the phases of the moon play no part in night-time illumination, it remains the same for it's entire duration.
