Whilst I dont agree with mounts in the city, i do like your sig :PSeriously? I can't say I'm surprised though, I saw it coming. This is another example of SE's backwards way of thinking.
I do understand not wanting the adventurers guild and other enclosed areas full of chocobos, on the other hand many other games have already solved this by making you dismount when you cross a certain mark.
Your own videos depict chocobos in the streets -.- please rethink this and consider allowing chocobos in town.

No to mounts in towns, however SE could add a stable area so you don't dismount when you hit the gates but instead you enter the stable area (a kind of inbetween zone), dismount and then enter the town through another gate. I think this would definitely add to the immersion of the game.

I'm all for keeping them outside. No disrespect but if you get annoyed with the amount of time it takes to move accross Limsa or any town for that matter than maybe this genre isn't right for you.Lazy, rofl god forbid this game ever catches up to modern standards. I'm not sure if you've forgotten or not but it's a game not a job. At no point should ANYTHING be a burden, by burden I mean painfully annoying such as wasting time running across a city zone 10 times bigger than it needs to be.
imagine all the afk people on mounts. gridlocks everywhere lol

No one will afk on mounts their afk while botting...

I love how people constantly complain about being "annoyed" by seeing things such as mounts in town or characters jumping around.I can understand lag concerns, because that's an actual argument, but implementing restrictions on something that adds to functionality, simply because you don't like seeing it, is just silly. Get over it-- personal preferences are not valid reasons to argue against anything that effects a large population of people with differing opinions.

Its just as annoying as characters concentrating in one area just to bazaar a few items (that's each PC). It's like a mob of retail bums standing around, taking up space on the street.

Oh I am so incredibly sorry. Allow me to correct myself. Throw Stormwind, Ironforge, Orgrimmar, and Undercity on the list too. Please forgive me for not spending additional minutes of my life going through screenshots of the cities to find one more suitable for your tastes. The last time I saw Stormwind, the ENTIRE front four or five blocks were completely packed with mounts. I could not see jack shit. I couldn't even see half the mounts except for the larger ones because there were mounts on the mounts.Tame compared what you would typically see in WoW? You got a picture from a city of the last expansion that is shared by both the Alliance and the Horde in a very very small town. Of course it is going to look like that and you say that is tame compared to the norm. Wrong.
Plus, given the fact that currently in this game there's nothing but chocobos (and personally I hope it stays that way when it comes to land mounts), that's even more of a reason not to have chocobos in towns. Every single person will have the same bird. Pointless.
Plus there is one major underlying fact, the city lags enough without them. Multiply the amount of entities on the screen by almost 2 when you throw chocobos into the mix. Even more lag. Don't need that.

Just to be fair about chocobos in town being shown in videos. Usually thats during a parade, special event, or just to advertise. Of course you could allow for certain areas within town to have chocobo. Say...right at the entrance?
