You're either a troll or haven't read anima threads, so I'd go with the former as it's the option that makes you seem less idiotic, if still a tryhard. It wasn't a bait or troll thread I genuinely think the community wanted easy mode for a 210 weapon then got pissed at the repetitive time sink.... the same time sink and repetitiveness you would have faced if you cleared savage, or a different stage 3 that required running the hard content in the game. The outcome would have been the same.
I believe in the very thing you quoted is what people didn't like, Recycled grind, or can you not read between the lines? But any grind would have irritated people. I didn't say Anima was a handout either....Not bait you say? You come in here basically telling people to "git gud" at getting their Anima and stating anyone who whines wants handouts, yet you couldn't be bothered to actually look up WHY people are complaining about Anima. What did you THINK was going to happen after people read your opening post? Anima is far from handout; it's just a massive time sink that the devs made a lot longer because they done goofed with Alexander Savage and didn't want Anima weapons to outclass raid weapons.
People aren't complaining about the grind required for relic. In fact, very few people are complaining about the grind at all because when you sit down and loot at it, its not as bad as it looks. I've dealt with worse in Final Fantasy XI.
If anything, people are complaining about how boring, unoriginal, uninspired and straight up repetitive the process of getting an Anima weapon is. This is after it was delayed several times, and after all the delays, what we got was a rehash of what the last relic did and more grinds of content we've already been grinding for months before 3.1.
If Anima Relic was introduced in 3.0, or alongside Alexander Savage, or its steps introduced one at a time: Less people probably would be complaining about the above. I'm close to completing the relic for my Ninja, but I can't be damned to do it for another job like I did for 2.x. I'll just wait for Gobdips in Void Ark.
You apparently missed a lot of posts, as there was a lot of outcry about how long the grind was and how casual players couldn't possibly finish the weapon before 3.2, and so on. >.>

I wouldn't say I am mad about the relic, but my BF called me crazy for farming the crystals for about 6 weapons... so while not mad, it may cause me to go mad.
Admittedly, I find the whole grind uninspired as far as story depth goes, and the structure of the grind isn't particularly extraordinary, just standard. I would have preferred a job specific line, but that sadly takes development, resources, and time that they may not have, or want to commit, where this covered everything.
not mad....just SAD. Because anima is just a reflect of how 3.0 has been going ...NOT FUN ALLOWED is the path SE is going with HW.
I must say I prefer the combat in this game to most MMO's. I am not a huge fan of the 'action combat' in games like Tera, Blade and Soul and Wildstar. Guild Wars 2 was decent as well.
I'm not mad, it's just useless generic stats. Give me option latent effects or real trials and maybe I'll work into it. More main stats are so boring now -__- no creativity at all. No real in depth builds.
