Are your core people/friends unsubbing?

I am curious if anyone is experiencing this at the moment. Our FC has always had a good core group of 16-20 people that are able to do endgame with another 20 casual players more or less. Since 3.1 though, that number has dropped to maybe 6-8.

These are players that I've played with since 1.08 and have stuck by through all of the good and hard times. This time however I don't think people are staying which is sad.

So I am curious if anyone else is also losing their senior long time players around 3.0 as well? It would be good to know a statistic on unsubbing that way hopefully SE can change the cookie cutter philosophy thats been in the game since 2.0.

Yes, but it's for personal reasons and not because of lack of content.
People I would consider my "core" group who unsub because no content: 0
People I know in general who unsub because no content: a few but relic has brought back lots of them actually.

Strangely enough, because the world is weird, most of my core group is actually *back* to the game now. We even had one player who no longer had an account create a new one and start over from level 1. And lots of other folks I hadn't seen much of for awhile are much more active again.

Two of my friends have unsubbed already, three if you count him leting his sub days tick down.. Everyone in my static is raid logging (with myself borderlining it) because there really isn't much else to do.

PF has exploded since relic. There are tons of people running around doing hunts, fates, and just about everything else. I know lots complained about relic but this past update in my view seems to have energized the community. I also see a lot of leafs running around which is encouraging. Whether they are new or alts is hard to say but it's nice to see them nonetheless.

It's looking like another year without additional content for WoW so I wouldn't be surprised to see some bored WoW players coming over at least until Legion drops. And for as much as people complain about the anima weapon it gives people something to do even if they do so begrudgingly.

Yes. Most of the core group I used to play with have been missing the last month or two and I fear they won't be back. I haven't actually played for the last 6 weeks or so either. Mostly I log on to hang out somewhere and idle or chat. Most of it was boredom with 3.1 and continued time grinding as well as the new relic - a lot of grinding in limited or old content. We were a pretty tight group, so a few of us gone has meant we all kind of are. 6-10 of us are on occasionally but not playing or not on at all.

Having said that, the FC I am in is solid and always has been, and I really like everyone there, too. I have the option to change my core play group back to the FC of I can let go of nostalgia with old friends if they don't come back, and/or reinvigorate my enthusiasm for this newest round of grinding. The FC has never really seen any drop in play.
