Really now? As much as I do like the flying mounts, must EVERYTHING fly?

Here's a simple solution:
For the people who paid for the Sleipnir: Keep it grounded, make it faster. Or give it some kind of /rear emote like Odin
For the people who bought/going to buy the Fenrir/Adamantoise: DON'T make it fly, lower the MGP cost, add NEW, sensible flying mount, and give current owners of Fenrir/Adamantoise some kind of voucher/price reduction toward the new mount (this is to quell any possible "I paid all that MGP then you made it cheaper! WTF?" complaints)

Please don't make things that shouldn't fly be able to. The Goobue was a cute joke, but please no. The primal ponies I can reasonably accept as they're all magical or whatever. Unless Hoarhounds can fly, don't make the Fenrir mount some kind of special snowflake. Think of something reasonable.

The Hunting Hawk minion suggests that hawks do exist in Eorzea. There's one.
Ganas. There's two.
Magiteknology clearly allows for flight. Get creative with that. Three.
Word through the grapevine suggested job specific rewards (like the tank mounts for example). How about a Ninja kite? Four.
Hell, riding an elemental sprite would still make more sense than a turtle or a wolf. Five.

I get that people want to feel that their special mount is indeed special in all the ways that count, but let's please stay reasonable about it.

This game would be so boring without this kind of humor, so yeah, I'm ok with the turtle and Fenrir flying! I have both of them and can't wait!

Why not just make everything fly, This is pretty much just so people don't feel they wasted absurd amounts of time getting these mounts, only to have them next to useless.
