This is the most optimistic thing I've seen today.
New wards will come may-june 2016.
Mid 2016.
We aren't even in that year yet...

It's hard to say "just let the vultures rot" when the current situation will remain for 4-6 months. And even then, new plots will also be bought by these "vultures" and they'll be reselling them once the new wards are full (yes, they'll be. And quite quickly).
So, this will just run in circles until Ishgard and "true" personnal housing come into place... which won't even come in 3.3 but at least 3.4 or even 3.5. The time it takes for them to solve the housing issue is just insane.

The vultures will most likely live quite a long life to be honest.

If a GM would please, make a statement it would be greatly appreciated. With the ongoing war of housing demolition, people are buying houses cheap and then selling them for insane amounts. This is becoming a HUGE problem on every server. Please, there needs to be a clear statement for all to see.

If this is against the TOS, I do hope those buying and selling receive proper punishment to discourage this behaviour in the future.

More wards and private apartment housing in future patches is already a pretty big statement if you ask me.[/COLOR] My what ever you have on top give it a shake. That is the same canned response you get from people who have no real answer or know the answer is crap. A real answer is X wards on X date will be implemented. It will be its own patch. What realistically we can expect is bare minimum with one more ward and houses gone in an hour and them ignoring it again for 18 months. Ignore might be a strong word, come up with no solution for 18 months.

It will come with 3.3 (end of spring /early summer)
There will be new wards for the already existing housing areas, a new housing area for Ishgard and a new type of house that have rooms for about 500 players each house (no FC needed)

I do too. I'm hoping that someone will just make a statement... or at least SE take a more direct, aggressive stance towards actual punishment for these people as opposed to the occasional ban to keep the masses at a murmur.

That's not what is being discussed here. Like me, there are other who want to know with 100% certainty that buying and selling land and FCs is against the TOS.

I would like to note that the GM statement isn't exactly clear. It would certainly be a violation to sell a plot or house using real monies which may be what this msg is attempting to convey, but can the same be said for selling for gil?

Is SE doesn't take action it really doesn't matter how many wards they add.. The rich will buy them up to sell and people will go without again.

And because of that they wait until the mansion is ready before adding more wards, which is in 3.3

Whether that action be punishment (if against TOS), or preventative measures, I don't care as long as it stops. Everyone needs a fair chance at housing.

Not seeing it in the official ToS, unless you want to call it disrupting others' gameplay. If you want to go down that road, any MB listing, FATE group, hunt party, etc could fall into the category.
