Again, we've stated that every server is different. Rarely, if ever, will people pay those trumped up prices for a plot on Siren. Most people(even rich players) just choose to wait it out. Especially with the new tenant feature. People who put up PFs trying to sell their small house for 20mil routinely get laughed at and ignored. The only time people pay that much, on Siren at least, is when an entire Rank 8 FC with items in the chest, etc is attached to the house. And even then, people aren't willing to pay more than 15-20 for a medium and 30-40 for a large. So, sure, your server may be filled with scummy scum but there's honestly no market for real estate vultures across a few servers. We can only speak from our experience, and people are speaking and saying they want this feature.

Edit: also, just because people will still sell for that much doesn't mean everyone will and I do not believe the majority of players are stupid enough to entertain those exploitative players.

ok so 45 days of not entering your house it gets relinquished and you get 80% of the plot money back.

my question is that 80% of what you payed for plot or 80% of what it will be resold for? cause if you bought
a house after a year that's like half price of what the plot will be fresh so is it 40% or 80% of the new price?

The idea mentioned above, of putting a timer onto a relinquished property so it can't be bought immediately is one way to prevent it. If it was randomised, say between 1 and 6 hours I doubt anyone would hand over gil in-game.

Restricting the number of houses per account would help, as well. One FC house and a private house per server should be enough as long as SE also allow people's alts to share the private house.

Right here, This would probably fix it as people would not pay millions of money to open up a slot for everyone to buy. or atleast have a fair chance.

I sold my small house, The Mists, ward 6, plot 22 for 5 Eastern Cherry Trees and a Moon topped Xmas tree. I kept the Xmas tree but sold all 5 Cherry Trees for 2.5mil a piece giving me a 12.5mil chunk. I recently purchased a medium plot with half furnished house + a workshop with completed airship for 32mil. All I had to do was exchange the gil, transfer two Rank 8 FC's then change the names back to their originals.

Ward 5, plot 11 in the Lavender beds.

People are indeed paying for homes on Siren. I for one would gladly sell our FC house in our premium plot for 60mil+ if offered.

I have a reason

I now own Plot 49-50-51 all on the beach in the Mists ward 2. All are secluded and have their very oen private summoning bell and market board. There is no way in heck you are going to get all three homes next to each other. Not to mention plot 49 is the best plot in the entire game for a small (Summoning bell and market board are right outside the front door). There is a reason they are a premium spot. How often are they for sale on my server? They never are. Now with the land relinquishment I now own the three best small home plots in the game. Mind you if I reinquish I get nothing but considering I am now selling plot 50-51 for 40 mil each and plot 49 for 60 mil, I consider the location worth it. If they never sell then they never sell.

My FC got a mansion as a personal housing because we did not want to lose our small house without any guarantees that we could succeed at purchasing a big one. Now we cannot transfer mansion to FC nor sell off the small house. Relinquishing a house is pretty much giving it up for free and who would want to do that? I guess the mansion will be unused for now while the small house will not be sold to any other FC wanting a housing. Those are some serious mechanic issues if you ask me.

Considering that SE are Japanese I doubt they are listening.

I'm not sure if that was a dig at us or a dig at SE's lack of English skills, but either way I find it to be rude and unnecessary. And players on Japanese servers are saying much the same things we are, so this is a matter of SE being ridiculously stubborn and refusing to make good decisions for fear of being too similar to other MMOs.
