I have co ownership of an FC and our house, so I don't mind not having a personal house.

One of my FC mates bought himself a large house and then bought me and like 5 other people small houses. It was a pretty good christmas for everyone.

I bought a limsa beach house for a friend who couldnt do it on christmas. There were like 5 people camping in front of every house. Was a good feeling to get the plot xD

As a homeless guild we really wanted a house. But in all honesty our FC leader and I as an FO completely forgot about the demolition day because of all the rl stuff. I accidentally opened ffxiv reddit page saw the live thread on demolitions and faceplanted in my keyboard. Housing on phoenix has been already demolished like 5 minutes ago. Grabbed my FC leader and we tried to find a house anyway. Mist and lavender were already gone and we were arguing if we want a house in goblet because it's comparatively uglier, decided that FC house is kinda important and bought it lol. In 15 minutes all goblet houses were sold too. I guess we were kinda lucky we were able to get anything in those circumstances. Also I thank the twelve we're not on gilgamesh xD

Well... I camped a lav bed spot for probably 7 hours or more, but in the end it didn't demolish. I scrammed and managed to get the LAST mansion left on the server(or I think I did anyway). LOL. It's a... grade 4 plot? It was cheap, but the view is AMAZING. I can see all of the goblet from the very top. Lucky for me I like all three styles of housing (lavender beds, mist and goblet) so I was not picky while running around like a chicken with his head cut off. I'll probably like the ishgard housing too, so hopefully the devs don't abandon the house moving system.



Overall I had an exciting day! Xmas wasn't "ruined" for me, because I simply left my computer when my family was doing stuff. My friend texted me when houses on other servers started to come down.

Only knew that houses had demolished because Cherry (the OP of this thread) made a mention if it in FC chat. LOL. The large that the BF and I had been eyeballing for weeks was taken before we could get the gil trades sorted out, but we got the last large in the Mist with people running up to the sign as we bought it, so we're still happy.

No one else that I can really think of (in FC/LSes at least) seemed that interested in buying a home, so I can't comment much on that front. Most people I know that wanted one already had one. Some friends are contemplating upgrading from their smalls when more housing is released in 3.3.

I remember back in the day when our FC plot cost only 2.2 million. That was a shitload of money back then.
All the smalls in LB in Ultros got snapped up, not quickly though.
