Okay, so basically you justify bad design with "you don't need to do it". In fact, nobody needs to play this game, Square doesn't even need to support it. Technically, the game doesn't need to be fun. I could go on, but there won't ever be a middle ground with this mentality. The fact remains that crafting is a poor design choice for the direction of the quest. You don't share that opinion? That's fine, but I personally, amongst obvious many, don't agree that it is the direction the relic should be taking. All of this without mentioning that it's basically just a rehash of the old relic quests anyway. I wouldn't mind a bigger grind, given that needing to buy intentionally jacked up priced items to finish a step that isn't even as good as the A4S weapon.
