exactly this they should stop taking suggestions from the player base just do what they had originally planned and if needs minor adjustments here and there... trying to please 1 group of the player base then changing to please another just doesnt work
*Hilarity. Sorry, that was really bugging me.
LMAO, that always makes me laugh, "crazy amounts od BiS gear".
Have you Run diadem ?
It's amazing how a lot of people seems to think that there's only two options in the world.
It's totally possible that Diadem was ruining the game, and that the change wasn't good.
For instance, I think that a more reasonable change would have being to allow only 1 item 210 per week.
It's not that with this change the content will be good and fun, of course not. For that I would have other suggestions.
But at least people won't feel compelled to do it 20 times a week to keep the pace.
But they did didn't solve the key issue. It ruins the game because you get the best gear from a mindless grindfest and you could gear get unlimited while other content like Savage and void Ark has limits.
So... Stop thinking that if the comunity thinks that something is wrong and is changed, the comunnity has to be happy. That's not the case at all.
And by god was it a tiresome battle. As a DPS (NIN), there were times where I began to show signs of fatigue when we get to camp and just pull, pull, pull, fight, fight, fight non-stop. It would get so bad that I just spammed the Armor Crush combo just to keep Huton up lol...Diadem wasn't interesting before as it was just a FATE that lasted 90 minutes. It didn't have pop items, forced spawns, tiered NMs, exploration, or anything remotely interesting; it was just fighting non-stop for an hour and a half. The real complaint about the change is that they haven't made it any more interesting but they have made your time spent in there less valuable. Seems to be the worst of both worlds.

You find it amusing that one group of people complained about something, then it gets changed a new group of people show up clamoring for the previous version?
This is what I'll never get about these "You guys are never happy!" threads. Besides pointing out the obvious that you can't please everyone people always seem to talk like it's the exact same people levying the exact oposite complaint.
People like you who make threads like this never cease to amaze me, keep em coming it's quite amusing to read during my breaks. Keep the misinformation coming.
My run in Diadem the other day was quite similar. We just stayed in one spot and 2 of us went out in search of 'friends' to join the party. It was 80 minutes or so of just killing one mob after the other. Not a single minute of downtime. Any proper rotation i normally have went out of the window and quite often it was just a button bash.
Is that why I see so many 'Diadem is better now!' threads? You find it amusing that one group of people complained about something, then it gets changed a new group of people show up clamoring for the previous version?
