Let's talk about Hunts - a detailed rundown of their assumed mechanics

I have ceased to care about A's (I run past them, call them to some of my shells and then move on. I don't even stay for the kill even if I found them)

S's are all I deal in now.

Edit: We had a Bird of Paradise repop at just shy of 86 hours \o/ hurray

111 hours and counting on Gandarewa, I have picked up Seventh Heaven and Aurum Regis Ore for 9 hours... wanting to verify all the things before I endeavour into updating the first post, but this dragon tho....

Gandrewa is typically an asshat on Hyperion. He... like rarely pops before 130+ hours - I've seen him early a handful of times but he's usually 130-135ish for us. I have reached the point where I don't even try unless he's reached 125+ hours and no one has popped him yet.

So I kind of question WHAT other conditions there might be to his spawn. It is node related beause he's popped when I was only person hitting the nodes at 3am... (my local time not Eorzea time) and once he spawned right next to the node and I was watching someone else hit it the instant before he popped.

Kaiser Behemoth popped at 51 hours 50ish minutes - let the 3.0 hunts begin \o/

Anyone else having extremely weird problems with Croakadile spawning? First off, my understanding of the spawn condition which has proven true for me 99% of the time:

After his normal cooldown cycle (30hr maintenance/50hr normal), he is spawnable by walking across his spawn points after 5pm on the night before the next full moon.

By this logic, Croakadile was suppose to spawn anytime after 6:59am CST (12:59pm GMT) on Nov. 27. I woke up a few hours after this and tried spawning him with no luck. I asked around and nobody claimed to have seen him. (I left my character online that night and saw no calls for him in any of my 7 hunt LSs.)

I waited til 5pm of the next full moon (Nov. 28, 8:19pm CST / Nov. 29, 2:19am GMT) and tried again with no spawn. A couple of hours later (10:32pm CST), someone else found him just outside the gate at Candlekeep Quay, which I know I crossed multiple times during my searches. Anything I'm missing?

50 hours = 3 full moon more or less, this is how I used to anticipate the spawn. Since you're not telling us when was the previous spawn I can't say anything, haven't been on the game for more than a week and I have no idea if there was any maintenance lately :P

Am I the only one who noticed someone is randomly reporting mobs out of nowhere ? I did notice someone trolled Moogle's tracker a few days ago and there wasn't even a maintenance at this time for what I know.

I know someone has been trolling hyperion trackers on Ariyalas

It's exactly every other full moon (same applies to new moons for Mindflayer)

I don't remember when maint ended in correlation to the S ranks.
Ours died 11/27/2015 5:07am pacific (7:07 cst...?)
It popped exactly 5pm as predicted - mostly because it turned out I was standing on the exact spot lol

My best guess is either a lag spurt hit Cable at that second or didn't move close enough to trigger him. I've missed popping Croak on the hill overlooking the moraby aytherite a couple of times because I didn't run a few more pixels forward :< The other possibility is someone killed the A or B Rank and forced a reshuffle of the spawn points while he was running around

There was no spawn between the emergency maintenance that ended on Nov. 25 4:00am CST and when we finally saw him on Nov. 28 10:32pm.

A full moon cycle (32 erozean days) is exactly 37 hours, 20 minutes in Earth time. Here's my math on any 5pm ET before full moon since maintenance (in U.S. Central Standard Time):

Nov. 25 4:00am -> Nov. 25 5:39pm = 13 hours, 39 minutes (too early)
Nov. 25 4:00am -> Nov. 27 6:59am = 50 hours, 59 minutes (should be poppable, but nothing)
Nov. 25 4:00am -> Nov. 28 8:19pm = 88 hours, 19 minutes (nothing again)
Nov. 25 4:00am -> Nov. 28 10:32pm = 90 hours, 32 minutes (found here...)

If you wish to check math, the next 5pm before full moon will be on Nov. 30, 2015 at 9:39:35am CST (hours, minutes, seconds)

Somewhat unrelated, the next midnight at New Moon will be in just a few minutes (Nov. 29, 3:20:00pm CST) in case Mindflayer is available on your server (which it should be unless hunts are really dead on your server).

Recently, I've been keeping track of where the A and B rank mobs pop for Kaiser. I don't have enough data to say this is proven yet, but I've noticed where he has spawned in the past 3 times I've kept track, absolutely no B or A ranks were found there since the last maintenance/Kaiser kill. This is with me going out there and killing the B ranks for several hours over and over each time.

I can't speak for the other servers, but Goblin officially uses Ariyala. As for the trolls and the inaccurate S rank timers, I have my own personal tracker that I wrote that syncs with Ariyala's data (with an option for me to override a bad kill time). Is it possible that some search engine bot is incidentally marking stuff dead there when it scans the site?
