"my quarters, 1 hour" was what he said. I always took this as him scolding her for her reckless tactics in a private location since she is his adopted daughter or something.I think Gaius said something along the line of 'give me your report in my room' or something, heavily implying there's something going on between the two, yeah. I would have to take a look where exactly that was, but I think it was shortly before we rescue our fellow Scions from them.
About Aymeric and Lucia:
I don't see them as a couple, but I think that Aymeric is always getting swarmed by all the Ishgardian ladies because he's such a pretty boy (), but he's completely oblivious to it because Lucia always shoos them away offscreen.
Even the people who were suspicious of her and her Garlean heritage came to accept her first for finally bringing some peace and quiet into his workplace instead of having to deal with squealing girls everyday.
Because of that, in rare moments, Aymeric wonders if he could even find a wife, even if the whole saving Ishgard/getting over the rumors of his birth thing was over
So he keeps on improving himself, unaware that even ladies (and men) on the other side of the screen are already fainting for him..x)

I think Lucia has a thing for Aymeric, but I'm not sure he shares her feelings.
I imagine it was similar with Livia and Gaius, just with Livia's mental instability added in.

Calling it now.
Lolorito is gonna get shanked by, of all people, Minfilia for what he allowed to happen to the other Scions.
So, you think the Scions deserved what happened to them because they weren't strong enough/didn't try hard enough? Be careful what you wish for, buddy.
No, I'm not bitter at all. Why do you ask? >.>... <.<... >.>...
I feel the same about Lucia and Aymeric. However, because of what VargasVermillion posted above, and what I remember quite similarly, I think it could be a little different with those two... Heck, from the very moment I've seen that cutscene for the first time I thought 'wtf, did he just ordered her to his BED? oO'
Hydaelyn and Zodiark are actually on very good terms with each other...but an event LONG ago (one that would have resulted in wide spread, if not complete destruction) was averted because Zodiark sacrificed it/himself. The Ascians were originally peaceful servents to him, but after this event blamed Hydaelyn and began to work against her/trying to bring Zodiark back in full.
Said event, while averted, is also slowly causing the end of the world/this universe, and Hydaelyn is trying to avert that but may actually be making things worse without knowing.
Beast Tribes originated from "humans" being exposed to large amount of elementally-aspected aether cause by their Primal over lords which then mutated their bodies.
Just like what Leviathan did with Cpt. Morgan and his crew in Sastasha HM
Since this is the crackpot theory thread I'd like to share one of mine:
With Eilibus constantly claiming he wants to 'restore the balance' and so on and so forth, and with the Ascians being named after FF12s Scions of Light. I'd like to think that Halmarut, who is the Scion of Light equivalent to Libra (the scales and the one zodiac sign that represents balance) will eventually become a big player.

The Garlean's tinkering with Dalamud was not called the Meteor Project as commonly believed, it was a confusion over an entirely unrelated scheme called the Meatier Project. In his senility, the former Emperor of Garlemald was under the inexplicable delusion that he could entice other nations to join his empire with cheap tacos filled with an unprecedented quantity of meat.
The Meatier Project will forever be one of the great “what ifs” of history. Garlemald’s finest generals actually succeeded in finding a method of filling tacos with more meat than was previously though possible. The test subjects engorged themselves on tacos, often requesting them at odd hours of the night. Unfortunately, the recipe was lost during the war of succession. The realm mourns that the meat packing their tacos will forever be woefully inadequate.
Our memory of their faces is fuzzy, like an unidentifiable wad of fibers. -Anonymous Epitaph to the Warriors of Lint
I think Altima will become a major Ascian for a similar reason, but also because, you know, Altima is a really major character in FFT as well as already being confirmed in-game as an Ascian. She has a history of being problematic.Since this is the crackpot theory thread I'd like to share one of mine:

I guess if we're going full crackpot and not just head-canon, my total crackpot would be that the WoDs come from an AU and that Ascian they killed was the cutscene of their AU you (eg how you were a Spitewarden in the true FFXI world), hence the mocking "Warrior of Light" bit. Because to them, you being called the Warrior of Light is a mockery.
