i wouldnt worry too much on defending yourself. should you of pulled? no. but really, they had many options. communication being #1. they also could have let you die, or backed out of boss rooms to give you an indication they were waiting. but waiting til the end to kick you? dick move on their part

So far I have only gone into Void Ark as a blm but I decided today that I wanted the bard pants so I signed up as a bard. I immediately regretted that decision when I saw my party's 5 dps included 2 bards, 2 machinists, and a summoner. Apparently it was enough of a hit to our morale that as soon as the circle disappears and we start running, one person drops, then another, and another. We reach the first trash mob and it is only the tank and me left in our party. At the same time that one of the other tanks pulls, the vote abandon screen pops up, and before I could even click yes or no, it passes. Then I suddenly find myself back in Mist at my FC's house.

Fastest vote abandon I have ever seen. I only waited 2 minutes to get in so I found it funny, but I feel bad for the tanks that probably waited 30+ mins to get in.

Aren't you suppose to wait 15 minutes to be able to initiate vote abandon?

Have you ever been in a 24 man raid where all three (or six) tanks just shuffle their feet and look at each other and don't pull?

Yes, and even as a DPS I don't pull, because that is what the tank is supposed to do. A little patience helps.

Because maybe it's common courtesy when you come with a group who wants to let new people see scenes to say: "we have new people we will wait on them to watch the scenes, if you don't like just leave or stay with us and enjoy the slow run" - I don't say it's right to pull, but silence also doesn't answer things.

Note I'm *still* not defending the lack of communication nor the booting, but force pulling while *anyone* is in a cutscene I will always consider rude and obnoxious.

That Void Ark run reminds me of a WoD run we had the other week. Four out of five dps were bards. So I (tank) say right away, "Foe's Requiem for days!!" and the bard I queued with said he'd put up the first one. I bet the BLM in our party was happy with that.

Got my favorite dungeon on roulette; Aurum Vale *sarcasm*

See everyone is level sync'd and there's no notification for a new player. So after we all start with our initial "oh god, why roulette!?" to start off our party chat, I ask if they were good with big pulls for a speed run so we could get out as quickly as possible. Everyone agree's. Pull mobs up to 1st boss (with the exception of the mobs way off to the side). Things are going great for once. I had a tad bit of trouble holding all of the aggro simply because of how much clutter there was with the # of enemies, but the BLM and Ninja handled well and focused on anything that strayed if I couldn't provoke it back in right then. We finish off the mob, and I'm about to start the first boss. I look again to see why that 1 blue dot was off to the side. I turn around to see the ninja had aggro'd 3 mushrooms that weren't in the direct line to the boss xD He died, we cleaned up the enemies and then healer res'd.
After, he said, "whoops, sorry! I got lost and ran in the wrong direction".
Just thought it was funny. We all survive this huge mob of like, 20 enemies, then we have one die from a small mob of 3 mushrooms. Granted, he was fighting them for like, a minute before we realized what happened.

Rest of the dungeon went well though. Ninja did die again during coincounter. He ran away to dodge the 100 ton swing. But then ran back in before he finished queuing up for the attack and got smashed in the face. I thought it was kinda funny. Didn't cause any issues :P

I didn't think I'd post on here so soon but last night was so bad, here I am! Okay so I decided I wanted to try the newly changed lvl 50 high dungeon and wanted to see how much exp I'd get so I got my fun BLM and queued up. I got AK (Hard Mode), not my favorite dungeon but whatever I'm gonna nuke the **** out of stuff! Got a NIN WHM and DRK, so far so good. New Player Bonus message comes up, I was worried a tiny bit but could just mean someone has just skipped this dungeon.

DRK never turns on Darkside. Okay I've dealt with this before I'm sure we can overpower our way through, small pulls (1 to 2 mobs) so it's not a HUGE problem. Get to the first boss and it was like no one had done the dungeon before. The NIN was just eating the tether attack and ultimately died the tank kept turning the boss like a merry go round and was getting the whm hit. So of course I'm last man standing at 25%. I'm good but I'm squishy ;_; wipe. So we try again, because I said okay we all have our off days. Basically the same thing happens except the nin got the point to hide behind statues. So only the tank and whm died and the NIN and I were able to kill the boss. DRK dc's but not until after we open chest. So we're sitting there waiting for loot to drop before we can dismiss. Dismiss goes through sitting there for 6 minutes. I just gave up, I wanted to go to sleep instead so we vote abandoned and ended this horrible run.

There HAS to be more to this story... who randomly kicks someone for ilvl in something other than a progression raid?

NOPE. Nothing more to the story. She's a good player and this is how people are on this game some times sadly. I've encountered worse. This is why I dont even BOTHER with DF unless I have friends online. I do the expert roulette with LS mates and friends only premade. Only thing I DF is the Daily Trials. This experience for my friend, is exactly proof of why I do this.

Leveling my BLM today, queued for Leveling Roulette:

First got Brayflox NM: the healer was an AST without ANY acessories while the tank was a Marauder (yes Marauder) equipped with LV9 acessories LV15 Foestriker armor and a LV8 Hempen Kecks. Me and the ninja decide to vote-kick him after wiping 3 times in the first boss. Turns out he was with the AST and they both left. We abandon.

Queue again, got Cutter's Cry. A marauder (yes, marauder again, but another one). He was well equipped, but didn't use Overpower one single time, even when we asked him to. I was pissed enough and rage-quitted after 30 minutes, just before the first boss.
