    so much nostalgia :')
i didnt went so far as crying BUT i had indeed that small tears

i remember, my friend invited me for a "exp party" in valkrume dune, and i was like "huh party ?? what is that ???"
and ended killing every crab we could see ^^

serket, aaaaah, serket, where is my scorpion harness !!!

i have sooooooo much memory, with ff11, and today for sure this game have a special room in my heart (weird too say something like this about a game ...) but im proud of it !!

now the sad part, do am i gonna remember FF14 the same way ? i doubt it really ...

I cried as well, the moment the girl started repeating the openning words to ff11. My only disappointment with the quest line has be that we didn't get the iconic artifact armors from 11. While the npc's armor is nice looking...it just doesn't have the same meaning for me that donning my old Dragoon af would have.

No more cast bars for Bard! Thank you, Yoshi-P! All hail our lord and savior!

Maybe someday I'll play it to find out.
I really really hope they implement the battle music for some events in XIV it was awesome to hear and a lot more upbeat than a lot of the mellow tunes here

I had that problem too... I wandered through some zones (WHM teleporting came in handy) for the nostalgia, but it's pretty empty in general and so much has changed that I only revisited some zones and smacked a mob or two and then logged out. :\

I feel less like a total weaksauce knowing this made other people tear up too. I have a lot of time and memories tied up into FFXI and this event made them all come flooding back.

I don't even feel immersed in Vana'diel anymore. It feels like it "Vana'died" on us. It's a shell of its former glory. I have memories of it, but God, having to do slow gameplay, going through menus, etc., it's just so ancient.

Most people are in the Adoulin areas, which is where the last expansion takes place. Aside from that, I only see people in Jeuno or Whitegate.

Don't worry, you're not alone. Most people I know feel like FFXI just wasn't the same anymore after Abyssea. I mean, the brilliant story and characters are still there... but FFXI's time is over and I'm glad it was able to go out with a bang rather than a fizzle.

So I never played ff11 so I couldn't really make a connection to what exactly was going on so can anyone clarify please?

Did the questline predict the end of ff11? o.O
