Garuda has a focus on tanks knowing what to do and DPS hitting the right targets.
Titan has a focus on respecting mechanics.
Ifrit and Leviathan is about DPS control and knowing when to heal.
Ramuh is about coordination and communication to deal with random player selection for mechanics.
Shiva is literally a dance on ice that can be solo-tanked with a degree of ease.
Bismarck is another tank-focused fight and burst DPS while minding the weather.
Ravana is a Russian dance of DPS and respecting mechanics.
Thordan's Reign is a mechanics-heavy fight that is a throwback to a majority of mechanics utilized back in the majority of Coil fights. Unlike Alexander Savage, it does not have a strict hard enrage and has a healthy balance of DPS checks and mechanics. It rewards players who respect mechanics, and those who are able to push their limits (DPS) can even skip phases. It is a breath of fresh air to engage in such a fight and I look forward to seeing more fights like it in the future.
Besides, the atmosphere and the rewards should provide plenty of incentive for the player base to improve. I look forward to throwing myself into that fight again.
I even haven't cleared Ravana, but I feel ex primals should be in this mode. Isn't it too boring if you can chop everything in game without any challenge? New patch comes out today then we down all bosses tomorrow, keep farming a week for own loot then afk? O-O I would prefer PC games if so...
This game is generally an easy going casual mmorpg with the "hard" part being only towards endgame. Some raids and the extreme primals. The combat system is easy to the point of boredom the fights are all easy. Dungeons are easy and the ones who are not that easy they become easier. Few parts of this game are actually truly difficult. So please let's not keep whining about the game is too hard. This is silly. We don't need more of these topics. We really need more discussion about specific mechanics and concerns and more rich future content.
It is not whining about it being too hard. It is whining about people's refusal to be accountable for other people's experiences by performing badly.

It's one of my favorite fights, but it's by far the easiest primal they've ever come out with.
Thordon isn't even that tough once you learn it, it's just a mechanic obstacle course when it comes down to it.
I wouldn't have minded an Extreme version on par with Ravana, and then a Savage version which would be the current one. Phase 6 and onwards is hell in PF.
GOOD.
It's boring watching everyone get the new EX gear a week after launch because it can be gear facerolled. Welcome back to the age of brain and reward.
