It's superficial.
It's superficial.
Too bad for you they already confirmed Alliance content then in their Famitsu article.only good thing i can see is ...endgame only being dungeons means only 8man endgame = no dkp for most part = not gotta pay for 12months a year and play even when no new stuff to do. = cya laters not paying you for months i have nothing to do. but then i can see myself skipping full dungeons knowing they don't really matter cause new ones on way too, so ..kinda bad spot to be in all together for them. right?
Also Yoshida made it clear that when he says Raids he does not mean only dungeons but applies the term to a wide variety of content containing encounters which require groups to use "strategy".
that's actually good news can i get a link to this? not seen it yet. ty.Too bad for you they already confirmed Alliance content then in their Famitsu article.

LOL are you KIDDING me? No one even needs to "sacrificing anything". Everything right now is a COMPLETE joke.Actually, if anything I'm among the people who spam new content and try to be among the first to get the new gear I have my sights set on. I do it for me - because I want to.
If one spams new content sacrificing food and sleep, like Yoshi said, they will get their rewards really fast. As a result of their choice, they may end up bored until new content comes out.
Others will take their time, and despite a month passing they may still not have all the gear. You see how there's a motif of player choice in there?
Also I'm not suggesting you're a troll because we disagree. I'm not so ignorant. It has more to do with the manner in which you post is all.
5 minute re-enter? Instance repop NMs?
Everything you're saying makes me think you don't even play this game.
Which one?

The article mentions alliances on several occasions but this is the most direct reference:
Famitsu: Are you planning for any content that will require more than a full party, an alliance?
Yoshida: For alliance feature we are planning to add this along with a content that will utilize this. Right now we’re in middle of battle changes therefore first it’s after a good balanced battle can be done with a party. It’s too simple adding monsters in dungeon with big HP where players just keep on hitting and kill so if were going to do it want to do it right as large scale PvE.
Famitsu: Before it was mentioned that there is something greater than a linkshell, what is this?
Yoshida: We have mentioned company in the past and would like to put this in but before that want players to have strong common goal. It will be after that; that’s the image.
Might take me a minute to find the Yoshi post regarding his definition of "raid" since I'll have to search for it and it was right after the first instanced raids were announced, people were asking him why he called them "raids" because raids typically meant alliance content. So he elaborated and said that he used the term in a general sense to describe content which was challenging and required groups to employ strategy to overcome, and that it wouldn't be limited to dungeon settings but many types of content.
This is something we are already seeing in 1.19. Beastman Raids had been planned for months, and many of us assumed they would be instanced. We now know they are 3 separate open world areas containing NM's locked behind gates and hostile beastmen (and maybe other stuff now or in the future?).
Anyways I might search for it or I might just let you do it with the information I just posted, the other was easy to find as I had copied it into another thread I started on mmorpg.com

People didn't even know how to get the Verdant Shortbow and Toothed Falchion for weeks to a month after the release of Darkhold. Despite knowing how, it still remains challenging and those 2 items are the rarest of all.

Players knew about the hidden items around 3rd week, but people were doing trial and error on 2nd week since we knew it had to be in there. Its not challenging, maybe if you have people that don't listen. Speed Run for us is like doing normal run, i think best my group have done it is with 38.42 sec remaining.
This content was challenging for the first 2 days. Everyone and then some got 90% of the gear. it would suck if they made content this easy with weak ass reenter timer and 70% drop rate. i rather have a long ass content(kinda like Einherjar), with like 24hr reenter time or something.
Goodbye, Final Fantasy...
