That's exactly what it is in Japanese. Mother Bomb (same as IV in Japanese) and Father Bomb.

Typical localization team trying to push their own humor or other ideas instead of sticking with references. At least this one doesn't bother me nearly as much as removing the numerous times the Japanese script specifically says "The Floating Continent" or "The Primal: Knights of Round" in the base 3.0 story.

that's somehow worse! They made mom bomb in every way (even name), but changed it so that her name is different, and people need to use a dictionary to know its meaning.
I think diabolos should be changed to Teufel so that we aren't copying past FFs anymore :P
