    2 pretty major differences between this and hunts.

    One being that, while there's callouts, everyone involved is actually hunting. Not sitting in ishgard or idylshire and heading out when your hunt ls tells you to.

    Second when it's time for a fight there's actually a fight. And if adds get involved, which they often will, it can get pretty crazy.

    Like someone said, this is what hunts should be.

    I think diadems pretty fun, though perhaps there could be a few tweaks. A hour and a half is a pretty long time to be hunting. It could stand to be shorter(With the lockout cut down equally) or have more objectives so there's more to do per run.

    Seeing on reddit that people manage to get i210 pieces with 4 secondary stats relevant to the job that can equip the gear... And main stats equal to other i210 gear...
    You can get BiS from doing Diadem alone.

    If you don't like the greed only option, go in with full premade and you can use regular need/greed or lootmaster.

    Completing objectives give you 40 esoterics... Collecting gear to trade in for spoils to get materia or other things...
    All in all I'd say it's great.
    Max 9 full parties in the zone at any time combined with two hour cooldown from time of entry makes it not be crowded and you can't rush too much either.

    I've noticed you can get a buff from white crystals, which is really nice, dunno how the black ones work or what actually triggers either crystal though.

    Even if the first party to attack a mob "claims" it, any other party that do enough damage to the mob will also get a chest.

    I don't think the mobs have to much HP at all... They are godly mobs, they are suppose to be tough. These are not your average mobs, these are sky beings. To me it has great potential, and when I compare it to Sky it really seems like a revamped Sky with a lil dynamis put into it with killing the mobs and getting them to spawn others. We got a giant dino to spawn, and called everyone else over to it, and he wipped everyone over there with two many meteors, but second time dropped him, and he dropped some i210 bard gloves that a friend of mines got.

    I think its great just how it is. Explore it, accept it, instead of trying to change it already to something that's better suited, or more face roll for you. Because when we say we need the mobs to have less hp... Come on now... That's just damn lazy... Why do we want another place with trash mobs... One of my members of the party forgot to touch one of the aether currents, and it felt dangerous as hell to get him over there once those mobs respawned, and started linking... It actually felt dangerous when you got aggro away from your group in those first moments gathering the currents... I loved it!!

    I haven't unlocked it yet, I hope I'll be able to do it today.
    Does anybody have a list of the things you can trade with the Exploration drops?
    I know you can get materia and mats, is there anything else? Pegasus? Gear?

    What's the point of getting materia tho? Until 3.2 at least when u can meld into raid/eso gear

    even rank I mobs take forever to die in Easy. Rank I to III are just hitting harder with auto attacks and no mechanics at all (hurr durr single AoE spam). Rank IV have some annoying unannounced AoEs but are kinda meh. Rank V I've seen :

    pteranodon : utter joke, anyone can tank it provided they receive a couple of heals.
    Celphie : total opposite. Hits like a truck and asks for super good reactions from the heals. A nightmare when it pops in the caves.

    Haven't seen star ranks yet, maybe they don't spawn in easy mode, but They ust seem to have more HPs and some raid buster moves.


    All in all, I think it's kinda meh if you don't go in full group or full alliance. Can't rely on pugs, and all you do is spamming ranks V when you have done the Eso objectives.

    So far our experience has been great.

    Our sister FC was lucky enough to unlock Hard Mode, so we kept going in as a single party over and over. The HM zone was relatively empty but we'd find 1-2 more groups at a time in the island. For the most part I think it'd get better with time as more people unlock HM, because the enemies have way too much HP and we certainly benefited from the help of the other parties.

    As far as challenge goes, most of the challenge comes from mobs humongous HP, but there are some surprises too. I actually died, several times, as a nearly fully decked out tank. Any number of thing can go wrong and the party needs to be somewhat balanced (Bring someone who can TP song, several Silences, etc).

    The biggest challenge so far has been the terrain. Finding a safe spot to kill a monster is like half the fight. We got a buffalo on top of a tiny tiny island on top of a slightly bigger island that kept knocking people down to their death. We had 3 parties go at it for like 20 mins before everyone gave up. Eventually we managed to get him down into a more fight-able area (And figured out you can silence the paralyze).

    Repeating what Kyros says, Diadem actually has a sense of danger, especially if you go for the gathering path of Diadem. Stealth doesn't work, and mobs have a large agro range....and OHKO gatherers. The danger just adds an extra layer of excitement for those who pursue that path.

    Just exploring is really good as well. Our party just got tired of killing so most of us switched to gatherers, and the ones that had no gatherers explored on their battle classes. The explorers ran into a lot of buried coffers, and even managed to spawn a star-ed mob from one. Needless to say when that happened, our tiredness vanished and the 6 or so parties in the instance swooped down.

    It feels a lot like a hard-mode open world without the zerg. And that's a good thing.

    I enjoyed it. I went once with my FC into the hard mode and we had a blast. We didn't have enough people so it was pretty scary/hilarious but we managed to complete enough objectives to consider the mission 'completed' and we got some gear out of it.
    Then to see what it was like I later tried easy mode with the DF and... well. It was fun in a way but my complaint was that people who were fishing the entire time half way across the map kept taking all the loot that dropped from the mobs that the rest of us were laboring over killing. There really needs to be something in place that stops this it can be extremely frustrating. The content is better with pre-mades, for sure. But at least the DF will allow everyone to experience it.
