One way or another it's going to be a bit unfair. I'd just rather them make it all unisex versus gender locking anything, and if it looks bad for some so be it. I mean I personally thought every single piece of the ST gear was terrible no matter what gender you were. So I just didn't get it. But I'm probably a lot easier going with this than most people seem to be.

by slacking off on either genders outfit i don't mean that it better look good on all characters. imo the thavnairian bustier looks best on female roes and elezen and horrendous on lalalfell, but its available to all the races. what i am referring to is blatant copy and paste. the event gear shows this. the old valentines day gear (i don't remember exactly when) has a unique female version and a copy and pasted male outfit (the ilvl55 CUL gear). a more recent example is the Halloween gear we just got. the female outfit is unique and the male one is copy and pasted from an outfit that already exists in the game. not to mention is did not include pants which is fine for the females because the shirt acts as a long skirt, but people who role male characters. they need to find something to fit have unless they want to walk around w/ no pants.

Yea and though I find it convenient because its a nice, velvet textured, non shiny alternative to the Black Summer Trunks, it is a clipping error: the male Halloween top cuts the "skirting" off of the Coliseum loincloth, turning it into a pair of shorts and probably will do the same for the Taffeta Loincloth. I probably have a pic some place to post.

Here is an example. The back skirting is totally gone from the Coliseum Loincloth, removed by the Halloween Witch's Coatee.

I find it sad that we as players are basicly "Encouraged" to roll a female or buy a Fantasia to play as the gender with the better glamour options. Like Raymon said, male avatar not only get less glamours, the glamours that they do get are rehashed outfits, but female avatars get unique outfits. I find this ridiculous and I am bewildered that a company as SE is oke and very open with doing this.

They should add this text on the cover of the game or when you want to buy it online"Warning if you play as a male avatar, expect less outfits, more rehashed outfits and expect maximum lazziness from the developers when it comes to designing male outfits" If they did this, we as the customers would atleast know where we stand. But right now they are making false promises and everytime when female avatar gets exclusive outfits, we get a "The developers are working on it and we will promise to release more male exclusive outfits."

They said in January that male avatars would receive the same dedication in designing outfits like their female counterparts, since then we had few uni-sex outfits and females got even more exclusive outfits. Yoshida himself said males would get their own version of the bunny outfits or something similiar, yet they released another bunny outfits for females only.

A nice gesture would be"Hey everyone, we are working on creating a male bunny outfit, in the meantime here is a uni-sex bunny ears as a way to show you that we care" Guess SE does not care.

Yeah I can understand that, in the case of stuff like that the outfits should have been exactly the same or similar to some extent. Going by that reasoning, we totally should have gotten the dress and been able to dress up as witches. At least that's the way I see it.

It's an especially infuriating blow given the fact that equality between them was originally one of the game's selling points. Lots of games are sexist in their gear designs, but when it was released ARR wasn't. Both genders could wear full functional looking armour if they wanted. Both genders could wear skimpy sexy armour/outfits if they wanted. Both genders got fantastical designs if that's what they wanted. Both got simple conservative clothes if they wanted. It was all open to everyone equally.

Now after gender equality helped to attract people to the game, SE has decided to abandon it, completely changing course from their original designs.

I would love to see Ice Heart's hair but I know it would be a nightmare for armour clipping and probably look horrid. It looks good on her most likely because they could control all of her positioning enough to account for all that long hair. Still, nice to imagine!
