With FFXIV nearing its 1 year anniversary, I thought it would be nice to list all of the changes we've seen over the months. List one thing, no matter how big or insignificant, that has changed since release. I'll start.

Do you remember when chat had a 50(?) character limit? (lol)

Dunno if its been said cuz i've only read the first page of replies, but...

Do you remember when conjurers and thaumaturges could get like 5 ranks off 1 guild leve by spamming AoE cures and buffs on each other with guardians aspect active? Because they got random SP for every person the spell affected, and the aspect greatly boosted this SP. People were R30 cons on launch day.

I don't remember it in retail cuz i only got the game about a month and a half ago, but i remember it from beta xD I do know it still worked back during the launch though.

So I'm told. It's annoying enough having people sell cloth dye in the masons ward or crystals in the tanners wards. If I had to slog through all of that manually to find what I wanted I'd probably go insane and spend a lot of time using /shout in Ul'dah

I do but I never had a problem with it since I used YG to search for something being sold.
I'm gonna second the random SP gain. The November patch made the game a lot more enjoyable for me when they finally changed that.
