Man, it's almost like A3S is a poorly designed fight or something. How 'bout that?
This is the endgame raid version of Titan. You have to execute the entire fight 1s in the future.
The only other option is to make a macro that says "but on my screen!" and ride that sucker for 90 minutes.
The failing of tether swaps happens in our group too. Super annoying. We also rarely experience the thing where the hands have to be together and we get them together - they slap the ground, we get the bleed but take no damage. So the server registered them as in position regarding half of the mechanic but not the other.
If you want to see how bad server lag is for your particular group then before pulling (or at any time) do this neat little test:
Stand about 30 yalms away from a party member and both start running towards each other at the same time. Try to stop directly in front of each other. You'll end up running right through each other and stopping after.
LMAO
This happened to my group a few times while progressing the tornado phase. Now we always have the DPS/heals stand still.
And I had an odd experience with digititis once. Someone swapped digititis with me from pretty much the opposite side of the map. Turns out he was lagging, so he was teleporting on my screen. lol

nah, same problem shows up in various ways throughout the game. As much as I enjoy this game, position checking is probably the worst I've ever seen. It's bad enough when it's a player interacting with the environment, but a player interacting with other players is (for some reason) more than the servers can handle.
When in doubt, assume sarcasm
I think it is poor design, both from the server and game perspective. Server because obviously this is caused by server lag. From a fight design standpoint, it's poorly designed because it doesn't function appropriately with the server lag issues taken into consideration. The fight should have been able to accommodate for the lag they know they have better than this.nah, same problem shows up in various ways throughout the game.
