Saw a Shooting Star

I noticed one when going towards horizon.

Has anyone noticed the stars in the night sky in 3.0 areas are 3 groups of different colors?

I believe those are the constellations. The Red group should be the Balance, Green should be the Bole, Yellow the Spire and The Arrow, Ewer and Spear are all different shades of blue.

The Spire is violet, the Bole is yellow, and the Arrow is green. :3

Wow, consider my mind blown! I have looked at the night sky often but it never registered that the colored stars were constellations. I had assumed the different colors for the stars were artistic license.

Sort of related...

In my opinion, FFXIV has the most beautiful night sky in a MMORPG I have ever seen. It is gorgeous! In addition, it is awesome things like the Milky Way, the Moon, shooting stars, and northern lights are in the game. This desire to create a beautiful environment, even if it has no impact on gameplay, is one of the biggest reasons I love FFXIV.

Now, if you all excuse me, I'm going to take some screenshots and see if I can connect the dots to make out the constellations.

Yeppers! It's really cool when the moon is in the west because you can see the shadows on the ground move as the moon and stars move too. It's rather trippy to watch.

My eyes feel soothe when seeing clear night sky on Mist beach.

I like that the birds in the sky have shadows so when they fly by you can see their shadow. There is a cave someplace in CWH that looks like it has little frozen fairies in it. I forget the exact location, it some where near the north start to the south. its a small care when you go in you see a fozen pool of water and in the water look like 1.0 sprites jusr smaller frozen in it. Pretty cool sight.

I always do /pray to make a wish when I see a shooting star in game.
The night sky is really pretty when you really look at it.
