Personally, I think that's something of a minor issue, but I will keep that in mind.I honestly say I liked it. I'd recommend that when the words "The seventh umbral era is nigh" you then go into more dark scenes instead of Gridania cutscenes.
The moogle doesn't match up with the sense of insecurity that those words bring. You could include images such as the dragon from the opening CS (Though you might not want to do this as it seems you're sticking strictly to in game cutscenes). I think the best part would be to include the scene from the R46 mission. Don't show too much of it, but just the part with the fog and you can't tell if the figure walking through it is dead or alive yet. That would match up very well with the phrase "The seventh umbral era is nigh"... you could include the scene with the Ascian from the cutscene just prior to the ifrit quest. All in all just darker scenes to accompany those words. Just ideas.
You did excellent on the "age of peace comes to an end". Images of the parade and the lasting image of F'lhaminn presenting a flower really coincide with the words nicely. The "the empire begins its march" is also accompanied by good visual material.
P.S. Moogles are serious business! :P

Fair point.
BTW, added a bit more to that post after your quoted. Sorry, I usually think up extra things to add into already written sentences so quite often my posts look very different 5 minutes after originally being posted.
As you can imagine, talking to me in rl is hard work.
Just another suggestion, I'm not entirely sure this could be used to fit into a more battle-based sequence but still, I regard this as the greatest composition I have ever heard in my entire life, bar none.
Grandia Theme
The first time I heard this tune I was awstruck, it was beautifull, it was sweet, it had emotion so tangible I felt like I could reach out and stroke it, it has everything I believe a perfect orchestrated composition should have. It even manages to fit an electric guitar solo into it which many would believe is impossible with a classic orchestra. If I were given the option to pick a tune for planet Earth, THIS would be my immediate, single, one and only choice.
Sorry I've rambled, but I believe in this tune like Derrick Acurah believes in his spirit-guide Sam.
Ahhh! That makes me want to play Grandia again...where did I put my playstation...
That Grandia theme is really good. However, I consider it a bit too long. The sweet-spot for trailers is two minutes.![]()
You could always cut & paste the tune to meet the lengths of the trailer and also allow certain sections of it to play at pinnacle scenes during the trailer to add to the excitement.
And Jynx, yes indeed, after first completing Grandia it sat at the top of my PS1 games pile, I have made sure each time I go near that pile that the game is both 1: Still at the top and 2: still in perfect condition.
However I have not brought myself to play through it again. The first playthrough left me in such a state of sheer dumbstruck amazement that I fear playing through it again could cause me to realise the game is not as... what's a good terminology... deserving of the title of "Greatest RPG to have, does and will exist ever in the history of everything"... as I had originally thought. I have faith that a second playthrough will still leave me in as much if not more awe than it had the first time around, however like many things in life, I would somehow prefer it to stay as an object of perfection in my memory than risk destroying the memory of something that made me into the person I am today.
Come on Ren thought you would of finished it by now!!! ANTANGANZIGINGING
Perfect! A trailer worthy of the franchise.Greetings all! I have recently completed a significant enough portion of the trailer for Final Fantasy XIV to create a teaser version for you all to see. This trailer is intended to be a means of selling FFXIV after patch 1.20 has gone live. So some segments are reserved for patch 1.19 and 1.20 footage.
When the final version of the complete trailer is ready, I intend to release both English and Japanese versions.

Let me know what you think, please!
I've seen some other stuff by you. I'm confident in you producing a great trailer. However, I agree about the song. It's not great. Did you go in and review the OST for FFXIV? This one could be something to review. Very epic and also different movements throughout the song that can be edited to different effects of your trailer.Greetings all!
