Not picking on you per say but I find it sad that we have accepted lack of content at the end of patches in MMOs to be a new normal. I mean, we just had a major expansion, and yet 2 months or so later, people are already getting bored again. The worst part is that I don't think there's much to look forward too going ahead.
Some people only do specific contents (like raids and tome farming and nothing else), regardless of the total amount of contents.

I doubt that someone who want to level up all classes to 60 and doing all guild quests and job quests additionally to raids have already finished all his goals

lot of people saying I'm bored, less people logging in, And people saying they're quitting the game again.
    Seems normal to me
Casuals always get bored cause they refuse to do challenging content yet cry that it's too easy

I hate to burst your bubble, but it is actually raiders, most of the time, that quit between patches due to there being "not enough content".

People are playing MGS V now that's why it's dead in some places...
Yeah, basically this. And come late next month, the next "Tales of" game will come out, so I'll probably be finally taking a break from this game by that time.

Until then, I'm still pretty active myself, (mainly because I'm still on a mass leveling spree for all my roles) and the Leviathan server is still fairly active from what I've seen. I'm still getting notable cues for whenever I try to sign up as a DPS. (But these Tank cues are sure as hell back to being instant on everything)

Three days ago I ran through a couple of places on Moogle, counting the active players milling around after noticing Limsa Lominsa was particularly packed. At the time there were 96 in the Limsa market row and Aetheryte plaza combined, 63 in Gridania's trade building, and 55 in Idyllshire.

I popped back over to WoW for comparison, where I play on a connected realm (where Blizzard joins multiple distinct servers together rather than merge them into one), and found a total of 6 people in Stormwind, 18 in Ironforge, and 17 in Stormshield (the Alliance's main "city" in the current expansion).

So not really dead over here yet, no.

If Balmung is dead then Lich is a ghost town...

I'm leveling my alt on Balmung a bit and it's always sooooo crowded, it drives me nuts. Go anywhere, there is at least someone there. Almost a little unnerving since I'm not used to it.

Casuals are not the ones that are bored. It is the hardcore players / People who do not care about vanity gear who are bored out of their minds.

My guilds online playtime has dropped by nearly 70% from the launch of this expansion because everyone is at the point of doing Alex Savage. If they are not raiding they have literally no reason to log in besides a 30min Daily dungeon.

This game is a casuals paradise if you only play 10ish hours a week, want to get achievements points, or care about vanity gear you have endless amounts of stuff to do while online. (none of it betters your character or guild but it is there)

No offence taken, its just the nature of the beast we call "Today's MMORG'S". It happens in every MMORPG including WOW. Every expansion or major content update people come back and then get board and leave. Personally I blame it on lack of community, Free Company's and Link Shells are nothing more the glorified chat rooms. There is no companionship in the game because everything can be soloed, so there is no need to make any FRIENDS. And FRIENDS is what kept Everquest, FFXI, alive for all those years.

I think 3.1 will be the make or break patch for me personally. There are things I could do, but I just don't find them to be fun. Everything just seems to be more tedious now. Eso tomes, gathering, crafting, leveling alts and even Alexander. I have no desire to even see Alex savage when in ARR I was so enthused about going into coil. At this point I can't even rub 4 FC members together to finish up airship stuff. So, I too am taking a mini break from the game.
I wouldn't say 3.1 is my make or break but I hear you, I feel like I am beating a dead horse now. Gear up and as soon as you gear up, guess what! It's time to gear up AGAIN! There is that and my FC is like a revolving door, someone joins and quits almost daily. Also you have idiots that sell items on the MB for next to nothing and it makes crafting worthless. My sub is up in 18 days and I honestly don't know if I am going to renew!

The most prudent thing to do would be to resub exclusively for patch months.
I've seen the list of things being implemented in 3.1 and to call it 'anemic' would be generous; especially compared to 2.1. I legitimately think the content wont last (me) more than a week or two, and after that there's nothing for the next 3 months.

If SE is fine with reducing the amount of content per patch that's their prerogative but I'm similarly entitled to cancel my subscription during the interim.
