Can more SE affiliated Music Composers contribute with music to this game?

The main thing is, that scene (and music) was in version 1.0 from the very start of service and wasn't added in later on. (I'm sorry for derailing your thread Skizzle - and I hope I haven't come across as nasty Fenral, I guess I'm just as passionate about FF music as you are. ).

I don't take this sort of thing personally, and it may simply be that my memory is foggy and the entire thing was so forgettable that the tracks on Before Meteor sounded like they weren't in-game before. The OST rip from Alpha not including those songs may simply be because they were stored as cutscene-use voice files and not BGM. Pretty sure I remember being struck at the time by the basically silent moogles, though, just like I was when the Songstress of Ul'dah didn't actually sing.

Would really love some Hitoshi Sakimoto. Maybe if an expansion where we invade Garlean soil probably and they have Sakimoto contribute some tunes... i would die happy.

I honestly would like to see more outside musical input in ffxiv. I like Soken I guess but I think there's a such thing as too much Soken at times. My final tipping point was the library.. I dont know what it is about the music in there it makes me feel sick when I hear it. I have to turn off the sound down.

B-but the smooth jazz is just so nice..

Also IDK I see a lot of "hate" for the rock themes... though I won't talk about that since I'm heavily biased for hard rock/metal.

Enkidoh: I don't mind at all. It is refreshing to read everyones opinions here with 0 trolling and white knight behavior.
Like you I'm a FF fanboy but I can't accept everything eventhough Soken did a good job on heavensward the reality is that its pretty much just replaying the main theme tune in different instruments and tempo pretty much not that its bad but it can get a bit repetative. In my personal opinion I really don't think rock music and chanting goes with everything either. Almost all primal fights are rock music based atleast the majority of them. Many tracks from 1.0 should have been left alone also imo. Uldah music from 1.0 is a masterpiece. Limsa Lominsa world map theme from 1.0 is way better than what we have now and is remixed in aleport wich is kinda meh.
Twilight over Thanalan was also removed wich i kinda don't get either.

I honestly don't beleive in Sokens theory that rock music goes with everything either. Alot of his tracks are really well composed and are of top notch sound and composition wise. If they fit into the envoirment is a different thing and sometimes stuff just feels like they are not meant to fit in here.

Since we are in the subject of getting new people in the picture the composer from Nier Keiichi Okabe has really climbed up on my top 10 list of music composers. Say what you want about Nier as a game but the Soundtrack itself can easily compete with the top tier ones.

OH WELL THEN if we're just saying which composers I'd like to see, we always need more Susumu Hirasawa.

Where in the game? I...don't know. But I'd listen to it that's for sure.
