Gathering leves need to be nerfed

I don't quite understand how there would be a shortage if more people are gathering.

The implication is that certain lower-level crafting materials aren't being gathered as much because there aren't as many low-level gatherers gathering them, causing the prices on the market board to inflate. If it's profitable enough to gather it, though, people will do it to drive down the price. If the price is still high, that's usually indicative of that particular gathered item being of a relatively niche use (e.g. it's a recipe that's rarely crafted).
