Congratulations guys. Hell, congratulations to me too, now I don't have to get nervous when Duty finder matches me with an Ast healer. Nothing personal of course, you guys could be a little scary in a crunch situation was all. Not any more, though!

At the same time, my condolances for all the rage threads from angry Scholars that are going to start popping up this week,

(As someone that mains as a sch) why are scholars angry? Sch didn't get nerffed. And an other job that needed a buff got it. With these new changes im actually excited to split my time 50/50 between ast and sch (which is what i'v wanted to do ever since i heard ast was a thing) here's one scholar that won't rage 1 bit

Just curious, where are sch's angry? Ast doesn't actually give them any competition still. Ast is the healer I enjoy playing the most, but it's still not up to par with the other two.

SCH probably upset because this means that generally speaking you will be deciding in your raid group between SCH and AST.

AST regen is (probably, idk) still worse than WHM and does not bring MND (seriously, MND vs PIE NEEDS to change) so you lock in WHM and by consequence you lose some SCH spots to AST.

Not to say AST didn't deserve buffs, but we do not have as many slots for healers as we would probably like.

The thing is, ast now gives whm more of a run for it's money than sch. All of the things that made sch good to have before are left uncontested. However ast closes the gap between whm by a fair bit. If people choose whm over ast for the reasons you stated, then ast is left where it was before the patch as "the benched healer".

AST potency buffs are uncalled for , other changes are fine and deserved but before the buffs the potency was the same with the sect bonus now its effectively higher than both whm and sch, that should not be the case in a HYBRID class, you should not be able to heal/shield more than your counterpart that SPECIALIZES on one sole aspect mitigation/burst healing

And AST is not a Hybrid-Class, it's a Healer, nothing else. The potency buff was needed because now AST can actually heal stuff.

They NEEDED them, this is a fact, Most groups didn't wanted to bring AST to raids due to how harder they had to work vs the other 2 healers, and even with the buffs i seriously doubt you'll see groups saying "screw whm and sch bring AST." The simple fact is AST needed to do it's job as a healer without feeling like the fat kid in PE. He can do it. but not without a great amount of effort.

oh rly well so you want to have mitigation and heals on par with both sch and whm and on top of that cards , balanced.
