I don't even know where to start to get in contact with the people who need to be informed. They don't exactly leave a way to contact them personally to inform if there is a problem in a contest.

The current report function is for in game and website issues and they have you deal with people who are of no direct influence on the contests so the information we tell them might make it too late to the people who actually need to know.

Besides it's the weekend, Dev's and Forum mods never really post on the weekends so I'm hopping they can see this during the week.

Let me clarify on this.. sending a letter to a mailing address would take longer to create, send, and receive. By the time a physical letter gets to SE HQ from where I live they would have already picked the finalists. I cannot exactly go to the HQ in California and request a meeting with NA developers in person so our FASTEST option is to get in contact with them here or via email, which the contest rules do not list an e-mail so this is our BEST option.

What I think is odd is the fact that they clearly state that if the images are found to have been posted online before the voting period, they will automatically be disqualified.

I did a quick image search on both, and even by cropping the info graphic one I still got hits. I'm just hoping that the submissions shown were just randomly picked at the last second and they haven't started seeing which ones they're actually going with, otherwise they're not following what they said.

Whether they get disqualified or not (which I really hope they do, and god knows how many more are like these that we haven't seen), whoever submitted them are pretty shameless.

Once again this is not a thread for the discussion of the contest entries.

Regardless you would have been disqualified for submitting your cousins work as it is not your own, the rules clearly stated the work should be of your own design. There also is no use much less a viable and accurate reasoning of player characters having snakes or fire for hair. Players characters are not gods, robots, or mythical creatures in the world of Eorzea. Those hairstyles would make very little to no sense at all.

That isn't up to you to decide that if it was done and it won you couldn't say anything.

He wasn't going to submit anything, said if he did he would try something else that hasn't been done a million times.


Also why are you trying to bully someone in the thread? when they know what it is? calling that person out for a hairstyle online making that person look bad and making others follow is wrong.

I hope they don't pick yet another one we already have or a gravity defying animeish hairstyle.

They probably will, sadly. I'd love more 'normal' options for male characters - some sort of military style cut, perhaps. Definitely more short styles though.

Oh man yes, I would love more short/military style cuts. I was kind of disappointed by the selection as well, they look so similar to what we already have, especially if people are just copying people's work :/
I suppose one could argue we are not sure that the people that entered it are not the people that designed it, but if SE said they had to not be posted prior to the event, then that should disqualify them for sure.
