DPS Class with the Highest Burst Damage?

MCH at the time of Wild Fire hitting is basically the best burst in the game. DRG, BRD, and BLM are super high up there, BLM especially if there are lucky crits since they have the opportunity to add many thousands per crit in their opener. SMN doesn't burst super amazing even if they get a couple good hits in. NIN and MNK do burst a bit but not to the extent of the above 4.

I will say I'm a bit curious on why you care so much about burst, OP. AoE capabilities are more important for dungeons, and a whole mess of other things are more important for Alexander/Savage. Is it just something you have fun with or were you interested in burst for a gameplay reason?

DRG seems like a good option from my melee point of view, but since DRG has 2 DoTs and you hate DoTs, BLM should be for you.
BRD, MCH and SMN seems to have a few good bursts but BLM's DPS is all about burst :v (even their DoT can burst)

I will say I'm a bit curious on why you care so much about burst, OP.

The only reason I could think of for caring specifically about burst is PVP, although admittedly I've never touched PVP in this game so I don't know how important that is over other aspects. In most games I've played PVP in, burst is king (barring broken CC) so they don't have a chance to fight back.

I'm pretty jealous of Bard's barrage + empyreal arrow. Wildfire is larger burst overall but it's hard not to envy that single gcd, no setup needed combo.

It's pretty neat too as it lets you do things like instagib A1S alarums without having to wait for resins and spazers.

Now that I finally got Empyreal Arrow, I've fallen in love with BRD all over again. Barrage + EA makes my seat sticky :P

wildfire does more dmg but needs setup and perfection or everything falls apart , is a bit unfair but talk to daddy SE , we bards arent the enemy, EA + barrage is all what we have for burst

@OP , Drgs can be scary too with all the CDs up , and is the best sustained , if u doubt btw blm and drg , choose DRG no doubt ,but is melee , and blm is turret caster, so if u prefer a caster go for it!

I don't care, I was saying that they have such strong burst and they still cry they want fixing. I can understand the animation on straight shot and what not, but a buff? No.

Highest burst dps? Warrior. Have you ever hit triple crit fellcleaves in one berserk window? Barrage + EA has nothing on berserk cleaves lol

I don't necessarily hate DoTs. I just prefer burst damage.
