It's a choice, someone with such power can easily be arrogant and not do favors for anyone. However, doing a bunch of small favors for people with little to no reward is something that does make you popular with both commonfolk and those in position of power, and sets that person apart from other people with similar abilities.
You see, as evident with all the threads with similar topics about WoL running errands and being passive just proves that this character will do the things most people would not do, which makes the WoL respectable and unique, but that's just my opinion.
because you are actually a mercenary. you get paid to do these stuff, it's your job.
Well just to confirm/deny the above:
"Frey" isn't real, but rather the darkness in the WoL's heart manifested into a trainer to help him truly grasp his own darkness and become stronger at controlling it.
And "Frey" eventually blurts out at an NPC during the Moraby Docks incident that "You guys would be swimming if I didn't kill Leviathan for you" (first hint Frey is 'you').
Basically Frey eventually reaches a point late into the Dark Knight questline that he begins to chew out NPCs for you, as is natural for your darkness. Your character really hates being misused, but he still helps anyhow because it's the right thing to do. Every time you choose to do good, as Light(good) is your dominant personality, the darkness (Frey) decides to help anyhow, since he's still you. He simply don't hold back on calling people's bull out.
Good to know that after killing a few primals you consider yourself too good to help a friend make something nice for another friend who just basically came back from death. Arrogant much? Stay humble and help your fellow man even with menial daily tasks, you didn't suddenly become too good for that just because you can kill primals without risk of being tempered.
I guess I seem to be the odd one out. I enjoy these menial task quests. It usually means there are no pressing heroic concerns and we're just experiencing the day to day life of the scions of the 7th dawn. I believe they are basically a free company, so its nice to see the inside politics and workings of it when there isn't some heroic thing that needs taking care of.
Who wouldn't abuse an obedient airhead who can slay dragons, make super rare high quality stuff, gather the most exotic materials on Hydaelyn, and never talks back?
