Looks like some people can't stand when others get their day to be a special snowflake. Folks, it's a celebration to announce the release of it in Korea, can at least let them enjoy it.
We don't know if it is 100%, forever until the end of time exclusive. When I said it might come, you said "dont know if it will come and I dont care, NEED NAO for Everyone!!11!" You are jumping the gun and hopping all the way to "I need to Demand" (which is kind of a form of stupidity in any discourse). The OP title is about the Gear. It, rather hurriedly, asked for the ability to own said items. This thread turned into the White Knighting of "the greater good" that could be right around the corner for us all for all we know.I feel like you're pissed off at someone or something. Many people here think they deserve something just because it's being put in the game. Hence this thread.
We assume its restricted because it is now.... how about 5 months from now??? got a guess? What I am saying is why jump to griping or just "Requesting" if you have little to no idea of the full scope of item implementation? Lets leap before we look.
I should instruct you on the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide and how you should act right now to get it out of your food before it poisons you.
Take each post on the OF and read it as if a 5 year old is saying it to you. Now how many seem like a "simple request" and how many sound like "I deserve/want/need X"? Surprisingly, clarity will slap you across the face.
*slow clap* So basically, If i am reading this right, your incredible lack of patience keeps you from "Simply Requesting" something along the lines of:
Dear SE, Congrats on expanding to Korea! I can't wait to play with new players! I noticed the cultural outfits designed look amazing. I would love to see them come to the other players in some form of event or something! Please consider it!
All I can read is seething hate from your posts I'm sorry lol.
Eh, it's nice, but I don't care too much. Probably genderlocked and that frustrates me because I like both sets.
I can only barely see how the girl's outfit resembles anything close to a hanbok, like maybe a heavily modified modern one, but w/e.
The use of the word "entitled" has been beaten into the ground to mean nothing. You're entitled if you want things, you're entitled if you don't, you're entitled if you think there should be a compromise. It's used to devalue your opponents argument despite meaning nothing "You're... (Looks up negative sounding political buzzword) entitled!". I wish folks would stop using it and focused on maybe why it's bad to want things or maybe why it's fine to want them. For example "This is SE's gift to Korean players for finally being able to play the game, maybe they'd like to keep it unique to them. It'd be nice to have it, but this is SE's apology which is devalued if the rest of the world gets it." or "It'd be nice to have the item because it looks incredibly nice and I'm disappointed with the current selection of glamours in the game. Sure it'd be nice for the Koreans to have a thank you gift, but it'd also be nice to at least get something that suits (x's personal aesthetic tastes) to match it" Note how both things can be said without bringing up that overused word.
I would totally throw money at the cash shop for that male outfit.
If the event is to be exclusive to Koreans, I would greatly appreciate SE considering allowing players in other countries and territories to buy the event items via the cash shop or trade via tokens from that Female NPC in Revenant's Toll (the one we the weapons and stuff from, not the one we trade tomestones for armor and accessories).
And to be clear, I feel that if this happens, that it should work the same in all directions - i.e. If a certain country/region gets and exclusive event that gives special items, put that event's items on the cash shop. (e.g. If US players got an exclusive Thanksgiving event with event items for whatever reason, make that event's item available to all players via the cash shop.)
I think I'm a little bit jelly of those too, they're so gorgeous! xD
But in all honesty though, if they're on a different server system than us, like the Chinese are, and if they have strict laws in regards to online gaming (as a couple posts in this thread seem to indicate) then these probably aren't going to ever be released to us as is. The things we saw in those pics from the Chinese servers were never brought over. I'm also of the opinion that if one group of players have exclusive things that another group will never have access to, then we should all have exclusives, and as much as I'd like to have that dress myself that also includes things that might have been altered from the original game version during the port to Korea. If there's any nice thing we have access to in game that might have been redesigned or taken out of their game for whatever reason, then I say let them have their own pretty outfits.
I don't think anyone is being entitled by just asking though. And maybe there's a chance we could get an altered version sometime in the future.
This should also work for the Chinese and Korean clients too, our event exclusive items should be available on the Mog Station for Korea and China ^^.If the event is to be exclusive to Koreans, I would greatly appreciate SE considering allowing players in other countries and territories to buy the event items via the cash shop or trade via tokens from that Female NPC in Revenant's Toll (the one we the weapons and stuff from, not the one we trade tomestones for armor and accessories).
