I'm more surprised the female Roegadyn weren't popular. They're the only race in the game that can have huge breasts :T
Of course, I aim to play as a male Roe because... male Roegadyn are nice.
You can keep the Viera, just give me the long hair and high heels. Thanks!
I don't want the Viera. I want a new race if they decide to implement more.
I could see the Miqo'te representation literally cutting in half if Viera is introduced, though I do agree that it does seem like more of the same if they don't put an additional spin on the race.
On that side note though, introducing a full-on beast class that isn't some sort of humanoid would require a ton of additional work when creating armor sets, so I don't think that anything like Goblin would ever become a race. Heck, I could see them adding Garlean or even half-breeds before something feral since they wouldn't exponentially increase the work load.

I don't really want new race right now, just want some fix for current problem like red scrips and other job's lack of potency.
But I want Bangaa race.
We're too masculine for people so that's why we're not very popular.
On topic, I wouldn't want the Viera race at all. This game already has enough cutesy races. We need more fierce races.
Hmmm... people say they want a beastly race, but I really wonder how many people who say that would actually change to one. It also seems unlikely given the massive changes that would have to be made to gear... so I don't really understand Yoshi's "Viera are too similar to Miqote" excuse when Au Ra are hardly that different! We seem to be stuck with humanoid of some size + weird ears/horns anyway, so....
I'm really curious to see what else they will come up with.
