SE Q1 Financials, they did really good!
They can very well hire the manpower to match Blizzard

All I want is...
Excalibur II
Physical Damage: 80 Magic Damage: 55
Delay 2.24
STR +82 VIT + 86
Parry +55 Determination +72
Occasionally triples enmity
Aegis II
Block Rate: 365 Block Strength: 365
STR +33 VIT +35
Crit +22 Parry +31
Enhances Flash effect (Range increased to 8y, blind duration increased to 18s)
Enhances Shield Bash (Potency increased by 50, bonus enmity effect)
...I really REALLY hope that relics of the future have some unique benefits to them. Something that really places them above rival weapons to make them coveted rather than merely glamor items. It probably won't be the same as my suggested skills, but whatever they add I really hope we start to see some special bonuses added to gear. There's only so much vanilla you can eat before you start craving chocolate.

I don't know why people think gatherers are rolling in money like Scrooge McDuck or something. It's one of the most expensive & least financially rewarding parts of the game. Most "gathered" items of use are dropped by enemies in 3.0 whereas we get junk like dandelions. >~>Crafting, because from what I hear, crafting right now is... crafting for the sake of crafting something to be able to craft something for crafting. Something like that. They'll have to make crafters relevant again. Maybe even something to do with gathering. So those people who are already rich can get even richer.

Predicted financial year end *profit* of ~$144 million. Enough to hire a few more people to the team methinks. This line of thinking needs to go out the window and I wish others would stop perpetuating this.

The Artifact weapons in WoW: Legion blow FFXIV's relics out of the water, I hope there's still time for them to look at that system and copy a few things. Sure, they don't have the same amount of money or manpower, but they don't need 30+ different weapons with 5 different skins each. 1 for each class with 2 skins would suffice.
Or at the very least, don't make it an RNG based grind...
The only thing that "beats out the 2.x relics" is the skins tbh.
The artifact power is basically like the light version of the relic (dunno the name)
the weapon increase/trait tree is basically every relic upgrade/patch
Knowing Blizzard, those traits will actually be used to balance the class (hai tier pieces whole WoD)
Give us a skin or 2 and it is fine imo.
Also, we are talking about Blizzard.
Master's of the broken promises at every event they do. Just look at the events before WoD.

Won't be doing relics this time around, spent too much time and gil on 2.XX ones for it just to become a glamour, fool me once...

This is good news, because if Blizzard's doing something cool, SE will probably copy it at some point.
I kind of hope that Relic 2 has a better story about the relics.
If these weapons are meant to be the Weapons of Legend then a good story about why these weapons are Legendary should be part of it.
Relic 1 story only showed why they are important during the first set to obtain the first form and once they start trying to restore the Zodiac Brave forms. After that each upgrade story is just about upgrading them.

The relic didn't touch gathering yet right? So I think it's gonna use gathering to upgrade relic![]()
