Why further enhancements to market wards?

Yes, they handled the RMT issue in 11 perfectly. Make a task force and handle it that way. In this game they did market wards, changed crafting system to make it harder, went without a mailbox, they have soft cap and hard cap in gathering. Frankly, I actually love the crafting system, but I have heard many complaints about the others. Some have been addressed, some still bieng addressed. Others, nope.

Look, I have been on this game on and off since Beta. I have spoken to tons of people, read all kinds of forums, watched countless reviews and read more articles than I can count. I have played every single large scale MMO ever made since FFXI. What I wrote in this thread is based on what I have learned from all of that. You are getting up in arms about everything I am saying no matter what it is, even if I agree with you on some points. I mean you came to defend a fellow linkshell mate that is not even under attack lol. Just seems silly to me. Relax and keep things constructive. Maybe our community and SE can all benefit from a thread of different prespectives.

You're not alone with playing other MMO's but unlike you, I actually don't feel the need to be the mouth piece of the community to know my feelings are being heard and my suggestions. I don't need to come in and complain about a already stupefied market wards in hopes of getting a AH.

Sense you played 11 Than you know exactly what the RMT effects that had on the game for sooo many years till SE Actually took up the cause and cracked down on them so bad that it wasn't feasible to keep buying the game repeatedly sense they got banned every 2-3 weeks.

yeah we dont need to do any kind of work or thinking ourselves in MMORPGs, just log in, and click the "awesome" button, and your done.

Hey, I know, let's make it so that it resets your password to a random string of twenty characters every time you want to log in, and you have to guess what it is before you can play. After all, fighting with the UI is one of the core aspects of the gameplay, right?

I agree, I don't like to do a whole lot of talking but Draco's got the point whether a whole lot of others don't like it. People are lazy, they want to go exploring and having fun. most people don't find item searching in any market be it mw or ah to be adventurous or exciting. I'd prefer the AH for speed and convenience. I don't think they need to do away with the MW but to be successful they NEED an AH. Why? fact is people are lazy. I'm one of them. don't feel like waiting any amount of extra time even if 5 seconds, I don't know about you but 5 seconds is a lot of time to me. I'd rather be questing/grinding/exploring or anything else. People who don't think an AH is not necessary to bring in or even keep players is in denial.

Speak for yourself, cousin! I want the Market Wards in! It needs some more tweaking with the UI, but I wouldn't call it a failing system.

One little thing I wish they had in the Wards is when you search for an item, it would also display the retainer's "owner." That way, I can ask him or her directly if I need an item ordered.

Not everyone selling something from their retainer has crafted/gathered the item. The last thing I'd want is random messages from the community asking me to produce more of the item.

I like the mw better then the ah. because i get to see what the item im buying looks like. thats a big plus since theres so many types of armor in this game

You know, Draco, that your opinion is not the and-all, be-all. I happen to be one of the many people who prefers the MW over an AH. With an AH, the prices typically get driven down nearly irreversibly, because everyone can always see what the last one sold for, even if there's none in stock or the other people selling would like to sell much higher. But they can't, because it creates a 'standard' for pricing that--as competition starts--only go down and rarely ever go back up.

I've wasted so much time using the MWs and most occasions cannot find anything better or useful. Then I used to try to find ingredients to make what I couldn't find which ends in futility. I see a lot of good points that the in game economy isn't moving as well as it should be just because players, like myself, don't want to deal with the wasted time and trouble searching/warping/loading/walking. My head exploded when I couldn't fit a retainer in the proper ward.
If SE is so concerned about how players capitalize their time in game, why ya wanna gimme the run around? (sorry, it fit)
