SE Please change Pure White/Jet Black Dyes

A 10% chance to get the dyes instead of the gear from the boss chests

They should definitely up the drop rate. My main retainer is like level 53 now and still isn't getting any more dyes than usual. Still bringing back that ever so useful furniture though.

Unfortunately glamor is the true endgame. The way SE made retainer ventures the only way to get the most sought after dyes (pure white, jet black) was just dumb. Would be nice if they became tradeable. Or at the very least give them some value. As it is now you can't even sell them to an npc for a few gil. If you don't want a certain color you have to discard it and get nothing. I have a bunch of all the pastel colors that I will never use but I can't bring myself to just throw them away in hopes that someday I'll be able to get at least a little something for them i return.

I guess I'm just a little frustrated because it's been a few months since I've received any Pure White through retainers.

I keep my retainers going constantly while I'm online. Haven't seen a jet black or pure white for at least three months. I have 50 of every other retainer-only dye though.

Not sure if black and white have a lower drop rate or not. Either way I've had the worst of luck. I do wish there were other ways to buy it save for the chocobo feather...cus...well...all my friends already play this game. :S

I barely ever get jet black or pure white dyes from my retainer anymore. It could easily take a half a year to dye an entire outfit at the rate my retainer brings them. I have a btn and an archer retainer. This is probably designed to be an annoyance for the people who don't buy the 6 extra retainers. If you want to get those dyes wait half a year to get what need, or pay up for increased chances at getting them. Fuuuuu ugly metallic gold dye. It's all my retainer usually brings me

Please up the drop rates or let the most sought after (black and white) be dungeon chest drops instead of those generic colors nobody wants that we usually get.

Speaking of the dyes that drop in the dungeons... I always found those sad. I believe we can either buy and make those. Oo

Just in two days I got 2 Jet Blacks and 4 Pure Whites. I wish I could trade/sell these. XD

Yeah, I have probably close to 20-24 of each of the pastel dyes and 22 metallic gold and maybe 6 silver. I have three blacks stored away, but no whites. Of course, white is what I'm wanting and haven't gotten any for months.

EDIT: Since I've logged in tonight (about an hour ago) I've gotten 4 Pastel Green and 2 Metallic Gold. Still no Pure White.
