Like I suggested in my post above, condensation doesn't necessarily have to be removal of content, it could simply be the mixing of similar quests to save running, tp, and load screen encounters. Though you have a rather good point there. If I were just starting the game, I would be very upset to learn that the main story was condensed. I love the story and lore, so loosing out on even a little bit of it frustrates me. I get bummed out when I accidentally skip talking to an npc who's dialog changes from quest to quest, let alone if I learned that whole segments of dialog, story, or events were removed.
But doing that you WILL remove stuff unless suddenly every conversation is 3 times as long since you need to put all the info in there.
I would only agree with this if you already done it on a previous character.

If you read the full post I made about 2 replies above that one you'd have seen I simply said a condensation that compresses quests to only remove walking/tp/loadscreen time but keeps all text (possible use of linkpearls for it, we know they exist), so no harm would come from the story end. Only issue would be exp/items but that could just be combined into the end of the new condensed quest.
Right? I did the math with my GF's (she's played for over a year) old laptop. I counted about 7 loadscreens that could have been cut down to about 4/5 depending on how they want to do it. On her laptop each load screen is about 30 seconds to a minute depending on what it's loading. That's over 2 minutes of wasted time that could be removed, and that was just from 3 or 4 quests. This is pretty much exactly what I'm asking for. I'm talking about condensing these types of quests that are obvious filler to kill time and feign content. There are too many quests that involve traveling across the world for one very simple task and then immediately returning.
