Did Yoshida went a bit too far by cloning WoW?

I think they refer to the instance and 0-10 hotbar common to 90% of mmos. The thing is most what can be done has been done on pc with hotkey base. You see console mmos changing things up more with the UI due to less buttons on controller. That isn't just copying WoW though, that is copying almost every mmo.

I doubt it is about the hotbar. 1.0 had it also and nobody said WoW UI clone to 1.0
I think it is the duty list.
