What I want to know is what the point of the ilvl 180 vendor gear is. It looks absolutely ridiculous to get but it doesn't look like you can meld it? I don't see any materia holes on it anyways >.> seems a bit pointless.

First: Base stats are higher

Second: you wont be able to craft the i170 if you dont get it because its impossible (without a perfect meld costing millions) to craft the new stuff. As its maint now i dont know the exact numbers but it should be something like melded 80 Craftmanship and 40 control or something *sigh*

although it does take alot to get there seafood stew help a big amount. Im going to try the 2 stars later today sitting at 719 craft 684 control 388 cp w/o food so with food ill be 719 craft 709 control 428 cp so ^^ time to mess with rotations for it

Looks like you get 60 Red scrips per ET hour if you can only do either mining, botanist or fishing.
''normal'' nodes overlap (Chysahl Green/Adamantite ores) and the other option requires a specific folklore.

Which means that obtaining 450 red scrips takes 7.5 ET days, which interestingly is about the same amount of time it takes to collect enough blue scrips for 1 folklore tome, if you do both bot+mining options in the hinterlands.

Christ why would you even bother. Considering the current cost of mats and finished item worth VS the amount you need to cap Red Scripts you would make more selling those than doing anything else.

Initially i looked at the non-meldable gear and thought it was quite cool, but now considering the cost of grinding those Red Scripts i'm thinking a fully melded set of standard 60 gear is only lightly worse and will see you to crafting most of what you need.

This isn't a great sample size by any means, however I bought 2 favors, the first one after using all 5 charges yielded 14 bladeleaf and 1 swordleaf. The second one I got 1 Wyvern Wart in the 15 minute window before rage quitting gathering. I'd predict at least 2 scrips per synth of 1 base mat, since you need 10 mining and 10 botany items + 1 crafter scrip.

Updating: decided to go back to the Churning Mists and try for wyverns wart again, got another 1 in 15minutes.

with full ilvl 150 HQ gear and the lvl 54 HQ food (Beet Soup) you only need cheap melds to craft the new stuff, the question is how hard it will be to HQ with those minimum stats. I wouldnt want to waste my scrip mats for a NQ item thats only as good as my current gear.

With my perception i get 3 items per spot, so 72 red scrip per 72 rl minutes - so capping my scrip should take a total of going to nodes 13 times. Its no so bad compared to the crafting scrip. But my culinarian will be doing those, i can live making 45 morel salads for stuff x.x

649 perception is enough for the adamantite/chysahl greens using this rotation

Thats not the rotation he was talking about, that reddit shows a rotation for a SINGLE item, the other post claimed 3 items
