Anyone else really disappointed with 3.05 ast changes?

It isn't that I need to level the job, it's the fact that when I am healing and paired with an astrologian 95% of the time I have to outright carry them and it is ridiculous. The class needs much stronger buffs if they are to compete with a WHM, at present whenever I am paired with a WHM the run goes so smoothly that people actually compliment in chat (which we all know is rare) once the run has concluded.

Pair me with an AST? All of a sudden people are dying and I am going oom and it's a nightmare where I am spamming succor cause I just had to blow indominability and emergency tactics succor after throwing out 9 revives.

And no it isn't because I don't know what I am doing, I have solo healed RavEX and BisEX multiple times. In fact the RavEX run that dropped my codex is just one run I did. With an AST I find myself just as taxed, if not moreso because I assume I can rely on them to support my heals and instead I am horrifically mistaken and boom multiple 2.5k mana hits from reviving people.

I don't need to level an AST to know they need buffs. They NEED buffs. I literally groan and want to just leave a party if I see I'm with an AST.
