1.19 we are losing:
Battle Regimens
Physical Levels
The ability to allocate stat points
I for one liked each of those systems and am sad to see them go.

I love this new system.
physical levels are dumb since they just make low levels unbalanced and made shifting classes a pain (lvled my 5 PGL with my friends 5 archer and I did nothing while he 1 shotted everything, whats the point?)
and with stat allocation, given 6 months everyones per class would be the same once the mathing crowd figures out whats optimal 90%+ of the time
Well two of the three will make a comeback: Battle Regimens will return either revamped or turned into Skill Chain/Magic Burst (ok so BR might be gone for good) and the ability to allocate points will return in 1.20. For Rank, I hope they put the term in Grand Companies and make that system like the Rank system for Nation Missions in FFXI.
I really think the new system will be better. Plus it makes the game more interesting since every patch you'll need to figure out completely diff strategies for raids.
Also without battle regimens i think the raids and nm battles will be easier since you won't have to worry about coordinating them. Games that don't need much strategy seem to be more successful these days. Plus, i think they will improve it and add in a much better version of it in a few patches.
Mew!
It's only temporary, what we'll be getting in 1.20 or 1.21 is a HUGE tradeoff for what we're losing in 1.19 methinks.

Guess add these guys to the "FFXIV Memorial" along with the Stamina Bar.

I'm fairly new to the game (but have been following it since it was announced), so all those systems being removed won't have much of an impact on me. I am be glad that class stats will be developed automatically (until 1.20). I switch classes pretty often, and I won't have to worry about the fact that I'm trying to level an Archer or Gladiator with mostly INT/MND/PIE buffed up because I was doing a lot of mage class leveling before. Of course, some people say stats don't really do much as it is now, but apparently that is changing in 1.19 which is great.
It'll be nice in 1.20 that we can adjust our own stats PER class - something that should have been done from the beginning, IMO. I can't comment on them taking out Battle Regimens as I've never done one, but at least it's returning to the game later.
We dont loose BR. SE will freeze them and optimize them. We will get the back in an optimized form.
Why do you care about Physical Level?
Allocating points also will Return in a different Form where you can optimize your Classes seperated, which is actually a nice thing. So i dont have to wait 1 day to switch from Melee to Mage. <_>
